I'm thinking of dreading my mohawk, actually I've decided to, but its one of those things where I wont do it myself, and you know I'm not taking my ass to a salon to do it. so I'm left in this middle ground. Its a complicated procedure, but I'm DIY 200 percent.
What have those of you with dreadlocks done?

To say the least, I've become quite obsessed with silk-screening, and am about to start making silk-screened patches. Because I find it so enjoyable to do, and I have nothing better to do with my summer, I'd be glad to make just about any patch or t-shirt you'd like! I've got my cheap ass little set up, there was no way I was paying $400 for a set up when I could just spend $70 on materials and chemicals.

If you're interested in helping me entertain myself just get back to me. It gets even more complicated due to my sideburns (they always ask me if I want them to be cut off as if I just accidentally left two long patches of hair on the sides and shaved the rest to the bone) Not to mention all of the "are you SURE you want me to do that?" looks I get from them.

Do you go to a professional? And if so, do you find a barber or a salon to be better? Or perhaps you do it yourself. If so, please explain your procedure. Hair horror stories are also welcome :)

I wanna get started on my jacket but I'm completely lost.
I see entire sleeves colored differently, is the whole sleeve painted?
I've seen nails in a jacket, how the hell does that work?
How do you put in screw on studs/spikes?
Acrylic paint?
Does spray paint work when you're using stencils and how long will it stay?

Feel free to post pictures of your jacket(s).

OK, so I'm making my first jacket (leather) and I have a few questions about this process that I'd like answered.

1. How do you apply leopard print or other designs onto the inside of the jacket and where do you get them?
2. I want to paint something on the back of my jacket rather than using a patch but I've heard that acrylic paint flakes off after a while; is there any way to prevent this?
3. If I fuck up something I painted on my jacket is their any way I can remove it?
I can't wait to get started on my jacket but I am being cautious because I don't want to wreck it (I spent valuable time and money on it) so any other helpful tips or ideas that you could provide would be much appreciated. I've been getting a few requests to post instructions on how I made my bondage pants. ALWAYS make sure to leave extra material.

1) Get a large amount of whatever fabric you want to use, a zipper, a large amount of safety pins, a button, luggage straps and clips

2) Cut the material a little longer than your waist to your ankles

3) Wrap the cloth halfway around you and cut it

4) Safety pin the pant leg up.

5) Do the other side

6) Safety pin them together

9) Put the zipper in

10) Put back pockets on

11) Get two pieces of cloth and sow them in half big enough for your hands

12) Cut two diagonal holes where you want the front pockets

13) Sow the pockets in and make the whole big enough for them

14) Sow the button on the right side and make a button hole on the left

15) Sow a few belt loops on

16) Get the luggage straps and cut them to a comfortable length (with a little extra)

17) Sow the clips onto each side of the luggage straps

18) Sow key rings onto your pants wherever you want the straps to be
I cut my 'hawk recently and it came out all funky. I think I made the base to thin and it has more gaps than a tony hawk game. It's only about 2 inches currently, so gapping this much this early worries me. I want to grow it giant. So can someone help me out?
