I used to put my mohawk in a fan, but after it grew about 6 inches i had to start putting it up in spikes because it just won't stand up anymore... i've tried spraying it, using gel, ive tried cardboard cutouts, blow drying on high heat and then cold air to dry it up. Nothing works, it just either flops over or splits down the middle, its about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches wide... i wonder if my hair is too thin to fan it out now. Any ideas or tips? Maybe glue or something? Its 9 1/2 inches long…

I have a seven inch fan I style up in the middle then I have a few 5 inch strands I spike on the sides. I'm new to this so I don't know too much about styling my hair. I style mine now by combing towards my head for base structure and I then use got2b glued freeze spray and dry it with a hair drier, but it doesn't stay up all day. My buddy used to have an 11 inch 'hawk, I asked him what he thinks I should do and he said I should used elmer's wood glue. Does anyone know some good…

Just joined specifically to ask this question.

So my hair is pretty damn long, I think. Nothing to be shooting fireworks about but it's long! I've always wanted to get a mohawk, and at the furthest end I want liberty spikes. (Or those things people call Wookiehawks, I think, where you got spikes every the which way.)

I've looked around and can't seem to find anything that doesn't involve shaving and/or cutting at least a bit of your hair, which I don't want to do. I know, I should, but I…
So the questions are--

Is it feasible to have a fan hawk without cutting off ANYTHING- if so, how do you style it?

Also, these liberty-spike things that have spikes sticking everywhere. HOW? I mean HOW!?

An upcoming show is coming up and its theme is post apocalyptic. Rather than use my mohawk as is, I want something longer. Here are some images to give you an idea of what I want, taken from this site:

My hairdresser gave me some info about the type of extensions I need:

They should be human hair so that they can be dyed the orange color I use

You get what you pay for so Indian human hair is better

They cannot be the braid type hair extensions since Im adding them to a mohawk (as opposed to a whole head of hair and braided in). Instead, I need non-clip wefts.

Can anyone recommend how I might achieve this look and a good source for the hair extensions I need? I have been growing out the back part of my hawk longer than the top part of my hawk already. I know my hair wont grow to the length I want, hence the need for extensions.

Im located in the SoCal area so anything I need to physically pick up in this area would also be great.
Liberty Spikes Vs Fan.. Which is more damage?tag:www.mohawksrock.com,2010-12-18:1501994:Topic:4099752010-12-18T05:01:12.035ZRAMhttps://www.mohawksrock.com/profile/RAM

Hi,

I never really post here but I am in dire need of help. I believe my hair got thinner from when I first got it, I really messed up the back with too tight ponytails so it is alot thinner than the front.. so which type of mohawk does less damage?

Thank you.

Let's face it, it's not the most practical or the easiest thing to do. That being said, is it 100% of the time? Never? Unless it's raining, even if its raining? Once a month? Twice a week?

Okay, heres yet another fanning question:

So I've had my hawk for sometime now, and I've gotten perfectly adequate at fanning it, but no matter what i do i cant seem to get the top of my hair to point upward. Its fine to about the last half inch of the hair, where it splays of to the sides. I've tried spraying it with hairspray and just running it between my hands with some success and hair glue, but i just cant think of how else to do it.
