help!

So i've only put my hawk up about 3-5 times since i got it, and one problem i keep running into is that the back always looks like a curly mess instead of a smooth fan, has anybody else encountered this problem and what did they do to fix it? please help!

Well if you have natural curls/waves like I do :p you might wanna flat iron it but I usually get away with a blow dryer and freezing spray. I know what you mean though.
