Mohawks Rock

Apparently, my liberty spikes, are going to stab somebody in the eye while walking in packed corridors etc.
So yeah combat their argument guys.

haha!
Telling people you have swine flu is a great way to get people out of your way.
A couple years ago at my school a buddie of mine with hair down to his ass(literally to the upper thigh. I know. Helped him spike it myself) did up a mohawk. The principal said the same thing. That it was "dangerous". He called the head of the administration/head of school board and said he had a lawyer and was going to sue their ass for discrimination because I had a 7"hawk that everyone was cool with. The head of school board and administration said it was not a problem with them if he had his massive mohawk. He took a signed letter to our principal and he exploded on him which meant he was just playing his little game of "favorites". (Maybe thats just all it is with you?) Anyway my friend had his hawk for a few more weeks until Mr. Fuckstick(aka principal) came up behind him and mowed through the top spike with a cordless hair clipper. My friend pressed charges for assault and he was locked up and lost his job.
Kinda long but the moral is just threaten their ass with a lawyer. Hahaha
Haha, I bet if I tried to threaten my principal with a lawyer, he would laugh at me because he knows i couldn't afford one.
Thats the thing. Fake him out! hahaha
That's fucked, and no i am the only hawked person in the school.
?????
I emailed my principal, i hope he can bring some sense into this.
Dear Mr M.Mcconville, I am writing to you today, to address the subject of occupational health and safety in your school, i prefer to go directly to you instead of speaking directly to Mr L. Hudson tomorrow. as i find conversation difficult and.....distasteful.
Today, after arriving at school, i went to my first period, which was science, upon reaching my destination and knocking on the door, i received a very rude and and rather blunt prompting from Mrs Wyborn, telling me that my chosen hairstyle, was dangerous and an OH&S Issue, and to take myself immediately to Mr Hudson's office, being quite surprised and still inherently bewildered by the suddenness of this, asked her why and how was it an OH&S issue, she then walked away, i am assuming she didn't hear me.
When i got to Mr Hudson's office, i knocked on the door, he did not answer but thankfully the friendly office staff helped me out and i was diverted to Mr Morgan, after i told him the situation he explained that This school considers my Liberty spiked Mohawk an OH&S danger, because possibly, one day somebody might get hit in the eye with one of my spikes, i realize that you are worried for your students, and i respect that, but the likelyhood of one of my spikes hitting someone in the eye, is astronomically unlikely, and it is more likely hat someone sustains cuts or scratches from the sharp staples on the walls of our tightly packed hallways than gets injured from my Mohawk, instead of sending me home to wash out my hair (thus wasting my time and money) i encourage you to pay more attention to more dangerous things.
Especially considering that my Mohawk has the tips soft, so that it wouldn't hurt anybody even if it did hit them in the eye, not only that, but my Mohawk is something blatantly obvious to anyone around, and they can easily avoid it, and if they did get close enough to get poked in the eye with my Mohawk, it is due to the ridiculously small corridors and not my Mohawk.
i have researched OH&S and as of yet, i am still to find any evidence to suggest that my Mohawk is a danger to myself, staff or students, or applicable under OH&S code of practice and guidelines.
Section 25 of the act states that you must not deliberately create a risk to the health and safety of your co-workers, such as with a bomb threat or intentional false alarm, My Mohawk is not a risk and therefore i have not violated the act.
If you intend to continue with your argument that my hair is dangerous, i would like to suggest that fingers, erasers, chalk, chalk holders, rulers and all other such items less than two inches in diameter must also be banned for the same reason.
Seeing as up until now i was not told of anything of this nature, i attempted to check the school's website, to see if there was currently a school policy against this, but unfortunately all i could find was an explanation on what the policies are there for rather than the policies themselves, although there could have been an error on my side, i would still like a current list of all school policies and rules.
OH&S is not just there to protect against physical damage but also mental, and i feel that i am being discriminated against and i will not stand for it, after the first time i experienced problems relating to my Mohawk (school photos), although i was willing to accept a compromise, when i was sent home, i had to take several hours to calm myself down, as i was so angry at the situation that had arisen, i returned to school and co operated in the interest of a healthy working environment, however now that i am being confronted with this situation i feel the need to speak up and make sure that something is done about it.
I have put down my Mohawk, but would like to let you know ahead of time that i will instead be wearing it in a fan, rather than spikes, i hope we can come to a compromise such as this in the interest of continuing in a safe and happy workplace.
I have discussed this with several people and would like you to take into account their reactions here http://www.mohawksrock.com/forum/topics/my-mohawk-is-an-ohs-issue when making your decision, and would like to ask you to keep this letter on record as well.
Also, while i have your attention, i would like to bring to your attention the condition of the schools drums and drum sticks, i have only used them on a few occasions (as i am not currently in a music elective) and i am appalled at the condition of both, not only are the drums badly damaged, but they are poorly tuned and the drum sticks are in a worse state than the drums! on multiple occasions i have seen students using sticks not made for drumming, on the drums, and that just can't be good for it at all, and so i am donating several of my own drum sticks in an effort to make sure that the school is at least using the proper equipment.
Yours sincerely, Dru Maher-Brooks.
I slept on this.

What I am curious about is why they are just now saying something, because as long as I've been on the site, you've had it...it isn't like you all of a sudden shaved your hair yesterday and put it up, raising alarm with everyone. It has been there for some time now.
And as far as we know, you've never poked anyones eye out.

I read the letter, it seems well thought out.
And the drum part just threw me for a loop. haha
What does "threw me for a loop" mean?
Took me by surprise, confused, etc. Wasn't something I expected.
