Need tips on a DIY mohawk!

ok so i have come to the conclusion that i am going to get my first hawk. i got this shaver and im not sure how wide i need to make my hawk. i have thin hair and im just looking for some advice i dont wana fuck up my first hawk you know? some people say 2 inches wide is good but ive seen wider and ive seen some skinny.

again, just asking for a little advice on how to do my own hawk.

i made the mistake and made my a little skinny, i was at about 1.5 inches.

the best advice(courtesy of khaos i believe) is start of thick, keep it thick for a day or two, put it up and such, if you think you would like it better thinner, try and amke it thinner(basically start thick then go skinny)

from my experience, i would say start off around 4 inches, and then go thinner as you wish.

You're not the first person to be asking these questions.. And with a little investigation you will learn SO SO SO many things you didnt have a clue about. Promise.

A good tip is to tie it up with hair ties while you're shaving to avoid getting the hair you want to keep and using the 2-mirror method or grabbing a friend.

Also as for length what a lot of people consider the rule of thumb is the space between your eyebrows. Personally mine is a bit wider because I have thin hair and its easier to fan evenly, so start out big at first.

Oh and another thing. Before you go shaving your head. Experiment with it. Put it up. Keep it up for a few days. See how you like it. And if you have a hard time with putting it up, before you post a discussion look around and there are prolly about 15+ discussions just like this, and some major threads.
