Mohawks Rock

people with mohawks who have extremely wavy or curly hair....

I've gone through quite a few pages of discussions and have found nothing relating to this. So here it is.

I see a lot of people on here with straight hair or hair with just a few waves in it. With hair like that, it's kinda easy to do some of the Mohawk hairstyles. What I want to know is who in here has extremely wavy or curly hair? And if you do have this type of hair, what do you do to it to get certain effects with your Mohawks? Do you straighten it, thin it, add something that's not hairspray or gel to it, or do you just keep it as it is? Because I have had some real troubles with making my curly ass hair. It just knots up no matter whats in it and shit like that. So that would be my other question, What type of problems do you have with hair like this?

xxx
haha, i got the afro hair too.
yeah, sometimes i just wish i had naturally straight hair.
but then again, there are times when it looks better all wavy looking.
You know what's funny tho... I know a lot of people with straight hair that want curly hair. I say balls to that though. When humidity rises my hair gets curly as shit. I fucking hate it. I use friz-ease, and various other straightening products as well as hairspray when my hair gets really curly. The best thing to use use to keep the straight shape is Got 2 Be Glued spray;
yeah, same here. i don't do the fan hawk, cause my hair wont really allow it unless i straighten it for an hour. i just push it all up and spray it till it stays. But it does look a hell of a lot thicker like that, so it's all good to me.
wow ur hot good pic.and im mixed so i have curly/wavy hair
hey greenfreak! my hair is somewhat curly. when i put it up in libs i find it's best not too straighten it first (last time i did, my spikes started drooping about 2 hours later). my guess is the body of my curly hair helps hold up the spikes. i use the 'povian method' (see how-to video on here about liberty spikes)... hold hair tight, saturate with Got2b glued freeze spray, and dry with hairdryer. to wash it out later, i shower it down and rinse with Aussie 3 minute miracle (it's a deep conditioner) and air dry. with your hair being so curly, the Aussie 3 minute miracle might help to relax your curl a bit. let me know how/if it works for you. and welcome to mohawks rock!

yeah, that seems to work for me for the most part. its just my hair will sometimes just start falling on me in bug ass curls. and yeah, that aussie stuff seems to work really well with taking care of my hair and kinda straightening it out. though my hair still has a major poof going on no matter what, lol.
