This is a rant.
Hey everyone I’m new so this is me saying "Hello"!
Now to the rant.
I went to get my "Mohawk" yesterday and needless to say it is the worst hair I’ve ever had. I went in (first time in years going to a salon, now I remember why) and gave the lady the perfect instructions on how to cut it, what to do, and the lengths and everything. She completely ignored me and barely knew what a Mohawk was much less how to make one.
She kept telling me I didn’t want it too tall otherwise I couldn’t stand it up, and I repeatedly told her that I have liberty spiked my entire head (boob length hair) Then after she ignored me all I wanted to do was get the hell out and she was “oh here let me spike it for you then it will look really cool!” I told her she didn’t have the stuff and she proceeded to tell me that spiking glue is the best stuff there is an almost forcibly made me stay so she could spike it into a fauxhawk that looked like a dorsal fin.
Now I’m stuck with a 3” fauxhawk on the top and the back shaved the same length as the rest of what’s left, I look like Peter fucking Pan.

i went to a salon
i friggen love it
i guess it depends on the stylist, i trust the lady i went to. shes been doing hair for like 30 years
and she has great comfort with curly hair which is a good thing if your like me and have super curly hair

I was lazy and didn’t have enough money to buy clippers; I usually do cut my hair myself.
It looks ok down as a “normal” hair cut but that is not what I wanted. The Mohawk is 2 ½ ish inches wide and she said she was going to make it all the length of the front middle HA! I’m freaking disgusted with it.

Can't see the pictures, do I need an account or something?
Anyways, I hate hair salons... most stylists I've had the misfortune to get their hands on my hair either did very simple things like just making it a little bit shorter to get rid of the split ends... or they screwed up big time. That's why I got used to bringing a picture with me every time I want a haircut - but sadly it doesn't guarantee anything, heh...

@ Makayla: Dammit... sorry to say this, but you've got every good reason to rant. :/ You could still shave the sides, then wait 'till the back grows a bit and cut the front a bit so it all gets the same length, perhaps?

Eactly! This is why I cut my own hair, I know what I want and if I mess up I have no one to blame but myself.

oh wow well the line is in place you should take a pair of scissors and cut all that long part off it gets as close as a razor does you just need a friend to do the back. Its what i use when sheers aren't available or im bored.

Oh yeah I went and got my money back... or started the process at least. They have to mail me the check! 13 dollars and they have to mail me a check... I hate stupid policies.
I’m going to fix the sides and keep evening out the top till it’s all the same length as the back, I just need to go buy clippers... would a beard trimmer work? It’s my dad’s but it’s got an adjustable guard and everything for the sides.

It I'll work as long as you cut the hair down short first so you don't kill it, they arnt as powerful is all and it will take a little longer..
