Mohawks Rock

Now I know there's a wide range of opinion on what is or is not punk, but when it comes to DIY punk clothing there seems to be a few common trends. These trends seem to be primarily patches, studs, and stencils. Done messily. So what do you consider to be the staples of a punk wardrobe? Do you think that anything DIY is punk, and vice versa? And is there a way for something to be punk without being plaid, studded, or shittily done??

oh lol
lol perhaps. But I figured it still merited asking.

HAHAHAH!

Yeah i do think those are considered "punk staples". but it's more then that as well, half the shit i wear isnt plaid, patched, studded or leather.
I basically wear whatever i can get hahah, i am poor and cheap, but i kind of like to look sloppy, but more because that's just what i feel comfortable wearing. I also like to wear really ugly, random shit.

i consider that shit you mentioned in diy clothing a definte punk staple and i believe you can be punk w/o all that shit its just most peeps wont know that your 1 if you dont luk like 1
The wholw thing is grey area. It really all depends on you in my opinion.
