Metal...Noise Or Beauty?

Of all the excuses given to avoid metal, what is the one that makes you the maddest?
I've got a list but i'll share a few.
1. "It all sounds the same."
Granted some sounds are similar but there are no bands that i've heard of that are identical and i listen to music constantly.
2. "I don't consider metal music. It's just noise."
Well it takes talent to become at anything. Yes there are times when there is just noise, but that's usually part of the song. And the definition of noise is sound, and that's in all music. Even the song written hundreds of years ago without any sort of sound or actual music, still has noise. The song is never the same twice, something different happens every time.

..actually what makes me mad is when normal jerks go about saying 'do you even understand what he is saying?' (growling is not comprehendable by weak minds). fuck that electro techno shit, industrial metal ftw.

music = noise with a pattern, so ANY music is controlled noise

I generally don't give a damn when people slag off my music. The one exception to this is other metalheads telling me what I'm listening to isn't 'True' metal or whatever.If anyone out there actually cares if one of the bands they're listening to sounds better because they've burnt down 14 churches over the course of two years please tell me.

And then ppl try that "metal is the devil's music" Crap and growling is just awesome. END OF STORY! and i don't care about most ppl's opinion on music unless it makes complete sence.

I ahte it when people think all metal is growling or metalcore
i also hate it when kids listen to metalcore and nu metal and think their the purest metalheads to walk the earth
i dont have a problem with that music at all its just that

I think that crosses over to the majoroty of music. The snooty classical types, the so called 'gangsta' crew or even the emos. I Don't have much of a probem with most music, fair enough, some of it really is just shit, but alot of the time, the diehard fans are what pisses me off the most.
