Rock The Hawk - Washington Capitals Playoff Promotion

Not sure how this has slipped under our collective radars, but the Washington Capitals are doing a promotion called "Rock the Hawk" in their playoff games against the Flyers. There are special T-shirts by budweiser and a radio station giving away tickets to fans willing to shave a mohawk.

I am creating a group and photo album for this promotion, so if anyone knows of anyone who did this, definitely tell them about it and I'd love to see pictures and coverage of this event. So many mohawks packing a hockey arena. What will the PGA think?

Comment by Bob on April 20, 2008 at 12:41am: I grew up in the DC area, and I'm still a Caps fan. Really hope they manage to beat those 'Bullies of Broad Street' (aka Flyers). I am, however, a devoted Tigers fan. I gave up on DC baseball when the Senators moved to Texas. BTW, I've been shown on Tigers TV games in the stands - seems the cameraman thought it was interesting, and the local announcers commented favorably on the 'hawk. My next game is May 11 (vs that NY Yankee team). Wonder if they'll catch a shot of the 'hawk again....
