Yeah, I did the same - only grew stuff I could eat - apart from Marigolds 'cause they protect other things growing - the slugs liked them a bit too much latterly tho' haha

I have some Xmas finds - not finding much on the fav. DM rub-off red/black style, except this pair sold in May, which has some good photos to get an idea on how well they break in.  Still, where one is sold, others will be - esp. maybe after Xmas.

Found some nearby places to you that sell DMs, probably not those, but you never know: John's Shoes in Derby; The DM Store in Manchester; Jake's Shoes in Manchester Arndale.

And although well outside the budget, similar style of Grinders Boots you may be able to find them on sale in the high street.  Another alternative anyway. :)

First own family Xmas with the grandparents too?  Sounds like photo opportunity round the dining table or tree!  Cooking's great fun, started it as a hobby too a few years ago when I got fed up with the prices & always eating ready-made frozen dinners. haha  The net's great for new recipes tho I mostly chuck stuff in for dinners.  I can get how it lets you unwind or escape. haha  What are you thinking on cooking for the big Xmas dinner?
 
Yes, life changes unexpectedly at times, there's always something you never think you'd end up being.  For me, this year, it was starting gardening, practically zero interest before to suddenly growing everything I could. haha  Not quite as radical an impact as starting a new family, my friend has being going through that, it's amazing how fast his young one has developed.  You'll be experiencing that all the time. :)
 
Improving; had to cancel my older brother's visit 'cause of the stomach bug - don't want to spread that! haha  So, I've yet to work out anything for Xmas dinner, getting food in tomorrow.  No doubt it'll be a quiet time, but I like that anyway - tho' the sound of stompin' through the snow is very cheerful too! haha  None here now tho' :(  Have you any atm?

Ok, some possible ideas I'd like to see you do with your DCs - with video this time!

 - Easy ones, video from the ground & one looking down of you putting out ur ciggie?

 - Crushing a cigarette packet from the side.

 - Left over apple (draw a little smiley face on it?) and then see how it fairs as you walk over it; ending up some smashin' and pulping & grinding.  Oh, and after the vid, some pictures of the left over pulp & your trainers looking down and of what's trapped in your treads? :D

- Egg shells - should make a great crunch and pop under your DCs?

- Other fruit, like a soft tomato, rotten banana or orange? - much like the apple, with video & pics to show the final results & who did them. :D

- Egg carton - walk over it and flatten each compartment, then rip it to shreds with your DCs. haha

- Empty cans/plastic bottles - collect a few & stomp however you like! XD

Can you do some of these (over time)?  I thought video for these would be fun to see your smashing in action :D and you don't need anyone else to help take them.

Yep, most folk seem to check other places more than here, like FB and then it's rare to get a reply without another means.  Plus bouncing off ideas, questions or boot bargains haha( as they occur is a lot of fun & easier in real-time online. I'll save my ideas for my next reply.

Yep nothin' wrong with a pink mohawk - except you want orange! =)  Ur 1st colour pink mohawk pics?  That would be cool to see how you looked.

I'll bear your docs price limit in mind - I find lots nearly daily of the cherry boots for cheap; apart from the dark vintage red (@ £96 inc. postage below) is proving elusive anywhere else.  I'll keep huntin'

Anyway, few little questions:

1) How long did the pumpkin last before it was completely flattened beneath both your DCs? (Awesome shot btw :D)

2) How many attempts did it take to break into it with your foot?

3) What happened to remains - you're shown walking away?

They worked!  Finally saw your total pumpkin destroyin' 'Grrr' look full size! :DD  And I can even see the left over pumpkin scraps in your DC treads! haha  Pics are Legend! :D

I'm fine, I was wondering what was wrong myself. Are you doin' good? Did you not get my reply next day on the 19th?  Or the fire orange comment and Friday's pumpkin teeth question? (I'm keen to hear about that. haha)

Sadly, discontinued from last year or so - but another variety to look out for:

Dr Martens Carey Mens 8 Eyelet Rub-Off Leather Boots - Cherry Red + Black

Those turn out the same small ones, just re-transfer from the camera to get the full sized to upload again and that'll sort them.  You gotta rule with your red DC treads, man! :D

You can see the fade amount in my latest pic from a couple days ago - in daylight, it's a bit more pink than red now.  Ah, who cares?

The bottom one the leather gets darker towards the heel.  Price wise, the top one was £142.50 from England; the other was £96 from Japan.  I'll keep an eye out for cheaper ones from different auction sites for ya.  I was chatting to someone who'd spray painted their boot toe-caps silver on Tuesday.

Ideas...depends really on what you think's possible too.  You want to add me on Skype (skip.micadm) to bash out what ideas could work sometime?  It might be a few days until I'm online in the evening tho'.

Ok, I've been doing a lot of hunting down the last few days and found the different types of red DMs (the left two are 'Cherry Red', so might be brighter than the pics show).

So, to narrow my continuing search down, which style of 8 eyelets(I know, 1st pic also offered in 8, but only pic for 10), do you want me to look for? (click to enlarge)  And what sort of upper price limit?

Upload a few shots of your DCs too with those answers,  just simply from your chair, looking down, with legs out front and cross your feet; and then two shots with one foot resting on your knee and take a pic from the side, to capture the sole and for each shoe?  That way I'll know what's coming with yer stompin' pic in the meantime while I hunt for the docs! :D Cheers!
