did you just call me a dumbfuck? I AM a native american or an indian... i find that people who AREN'T of that ethnicity are the ones that get bent about what you call us... we call ourselves indians, we are proud to do so at least who i speak to, i guess it depends on the person you speak to. I am of the Iowa tribe, mohawks were a common style with us too because our tribe came from the canadian region you speak of. Bottom line, who cares?! i believe that being politically correct is a pain in the ass and a waste of time... and don't speak of things you don't fully understand.

The word "indian" was a mistakenly given name. The explorers who arrived in north american believe they had sailed around the entire world to India and therefore called the people they encountered "Indians" There is already a group that exists called Indians...they live in the country of India. The so called indians you speak of should not just change what they are called because it's "politically correct" but also to avoid any confusion in daily speech in relation to the actual Indians of India. Many people now days assume that and Indian is someone who lives in or has ancestry in India, so in calling yourself and indian you are misrepresenting yourself, especially through the internet where people do not have the ability to gather information about your background through your actual physical looks.

I wasn't exclusively talking to you, however if you and your native American friends proudly call yourselves Indian then I'm sorry to say that you and your friends are wrong. It has nothing to do with politically correctness, it's just wrong.. It'd be like me saying I was Chinese, and some guy saying like "you're not Chinese.. you're clearly white" and me retorting with "yeah but my friends and I call ourselves Chinese, and we're proud to do so" You can see the issue here I'm sure.

Chi3f, to be honest, the only answer you're going to get about nappy mohawks is "it's your hair, go for it." Your hair is your own personal choice, and everyone on here does their hair they way they want because they don't care what other people think. that's the answer. nappy mohawk, straight mohawk, liberty spikes...anything. go for it. its up to you.
on another topic. i really don't want to sound offensive here, and i apologize in advance if i say something that offends you.
i have been reading your posts recently. you seem to be asking a lot of questions, which is just fine :) it's always great to find new things out. but when someone replies to you, and you respond in a... well, kind of rude way, it can really make tempers flare up here. no one wants that. we are a community on here, we are all friends, and we don't want fighting between anyone on here.
now, regarding the history of mohawks and why people have them (whether it represents their heritage, the type of music they like, or just their lifestyle in general), it doesn't matter. once again, your hair is your own to do what you want with. so for whatever reason, most people on here do tend to sport a mohawk.
i know people on here sometimes bug you about your spelling. i also know that you are on a PSP so shortening some words or whatever... yeah, its easier for you. whatever. i have no problem with that. so... if someone else makes a spelling mistake, it would be really great if you didn't point it out and call people names.
also, i know you say you're not racist, and im not saying that you are. but you're also being very contradictive. in one post, you say "Im not racist lol ..." and in the next, you state that "only white boys and asianz have 3cm dicks." honestly, to me, that last comment does sound a little racist. you are assuming that NO ONE of your heritage has a small penis. now, unless you have taken a look in EVERY guy's pants that is from your ethnical backround, you cannot say that only certain people have certain things. its really not too cool.
to me, it feels like you are just a little offended by what people say sometimes. and maybe you are. but maybe, you are being offened by people who take offense to things that you say. so maybe, if you could just try to pay closer attention to how what you post might make other people feel, they might do the same for you.
i apologize for the length of this post here. i guess what im really just trying to say is, be nice to others on here, and we will be nice to you. none of us are on here to show off, to make others feel bad, or to be "bad ass." we are just here because of a certain hairstyle that we all like. that's it. nothing more.
so just try to keep this group of friends a group of friends. not a war between people. no one needs that. i really hope i haven't offended you in any way, and i hope you can take my advice to heart.
and once again, with the nappy mohawk. its cool, go for it. its your hair, so our opinions shouldn't matter all that much anyways.
