ok, so just because people like music with a message besides "drink a forty and be homeless cuz that's punk" makes them an elitist? Lyrics have depth if you take the time to listen to them and imagine the implications of them. I understand that not everyone has the same tastes as I do and that's fine but i don't tell people their music sucks, its just not my thing.
I listen to alot of anti war music (be it punk or otherwise) because I feel it is a waste of human life, money, and time. I got friends overseas fighting for shit they don't believe in so music that says what I already feel strikes a chord with me that's all. A good song that tells it how it is in graphic detail is a folk song called The Band Played Waltzing Matilda (I prefer the Pogues version). You should check it out I highly recommend it.

punk is not all about making sense well its about fighting for your right soo even if they are yelling in cave man english they are speaking for there rights if you want something that sounds good punkrock is not your genre and mohawks rock.com is not your website.... anyways bands that sound like the cassualties....stick to the category.. and all mainstream bands and all bands pose in 1 way or another...its not like any1 is born punk etc....
