Its only been a week and paint is already cracking and chipping! Is there anything i can do or just let it happen?

Might be an oil coating on it (its so it cant get dirty and dirt just brushes off), in which case you might wanna see how much you can peel off, then rub the area with dish soap on the rough side of a sponge, then paint it again. Pleather is basically fancy plastic, so paint might just not stick to it
second coat sometimes works

what paint did you use? acrylics best, but i found that red chips off really easily (have to repaint mine every 6 month or so), then blue, then white, then green hardly ever chips off. dry the paint with a hairdryer too :)

i used acrylic paint , i let it air dry but it only cracks when that part bends :/
it cracks a little but, but my jackets really well worn now so it dont as much. just think of it as a pair of new DMs. try polishing your jacket if its still a bit stiff xx
You also want to soften the leather up before painting, so use dubbin and wait a week or so before painting.
