Mohawks Rock

Starting in the early 90s and believed to have ended by the mid 90's, the Riot Grrrl scene was a rebellion against a male dominated world. It was not an outlet, as most people like to view it, but rather a lifestyle that has transcended time and money, and America's persception of the female population. It is the third wave of feminism and continues to redefine words like woman, lady, girl, and my personal favorite, female.

Let's talk about all things Riot Grrrl! Movies, Bands, Beliefs, etc

All great bands! I know a few websites offer some info about riot grrrl. The history in itself is very inspiring. Naked Aggression is another good band that had feminist views.
yeah i also find it very interesting, i went to the book store the other day and they had about 2 or 3 books on it
Really? That's awesome. I remeber there were few riot grrrl esque bands in chicago. Never read any books though. Do you remeber the names of them?
