My parents are very conservative and I used to have long hair so naturally they told me to get a respectable haircut. My boss also was on me to get a haircut so I came back with a Mohawk. Looking back I have always loved them and wanted one but never really thought about it or had some doubt in my mind about getting one. After that it's kinda an unfinished blur lol

well i just remember when i was 5 at this parade i saw this punk guy with a mohawk and thought it was the coolest shit ever! since then i had always loved them but oddly didnt do one til a year ago. my reason for doing it was cause i had long hair down mid back then shaved it off for a job, well after this job i was growing my hair back and just hated it. so when it was about to be in my eyes i decided FUCK IT, went and shaved my sides. now my hawk is about 4 inches past my chin when it lays to the side. i sorta wish i didnt didnt cut it sometimes cause id have long ass hair by now lol. but i have started chops so im closer to having almost all long hair.

I had a job interview a long time ago and had hair down to my nipples and my mom wanted me to get a hair cut to look nicer at the interview so I went to a cheap place to get a hair cut and she cut my hair shoulder length all around and gave me bangs. It looked terrible and I looked kinda like a girl, so I decided with what little hair I had left I could still get a cool looking hairstyle by going mohawk. My girlfriend at the time cut it for me and thats how I got my first mohawk

Always had average hair just like everybody else and my ninth grade year i realized that I was tired of being "normal" so i decided that ya know what, fuck everybody else this is the lifestyle i want to live. And mohawks are just badass.

I had really long hair all my life so i wanted to do something different. I donated my hair to cancer since my Nana died of it and I know a few chicks and dudes who have 'hawks. I love my hair. My father (who's a clean cut prep) was like "You're gonna regret it. How about another piercing? a tattoo?" and all this other loads of crap. Mom and I finally got him to go along with it. But now whenever we're out somewhere he tries to bring attention to my hair -___- shit gets old. But I love it when Chicks are complimenting me and he's like "hey what about me?" Just gotta look at him and say "what about you? the chicks dig me!"

I asked my mom for one. lol
This time, i'm actually inclined to do something like that. Given my work situation. Right now I have just a militaryish 'high and tight' haircut. This way my nape doesnt get ahead of the top like it naturally does when I grow my hair out.

To be honest, I don't remember. It was around 18/19 and I'd always liked mohawks - even those Roman helmets with the red plumes like a 'hawk as a kid. But what made me shave off my hair? I just wanted to, I guess.
Actually, it used to bug me at first 'cause I found out I had a flat bit on the top-back of my skull. Later on, I grew the sides and put tramlines all the way up the sides and down the beard that I let return, then carried them round the back - which actually feels really nice. :D Though, now I keep the 'hawk down the back, even though it breaks the lines.
