Which dye do you use?
I dig Manic Panic because it has a vegan formula and doesn't
test on animals, but I find that Punky Colour stays in longer and
smells amazing. If there's another brand out there that doesn't
fade as quickly, post it here. My hair doesn't hold colour very
well anymore.

i highly recomend special effects hairdye. it has tons of colors and most colors last for over a month. one of their dyes, atomic pink lasted for over nine months.
but yeah, if you ever want to see your natural color again youre going to need to wait for quite a while.

i have had good and bad dye form various companies. certain colors are harder for hair to take and will fade faster. Also depends on the base of the dye.
I used Color Fiend pink that took but I needed to touch up every few days.
Used Manic Panic electric lizard and it instantly washed out
RAW purple washed out in a day
Manic Panic After Midnight Blue stayed really well, as is the current Color Fiend blue I am using. two weeks or so and still looking decent.
Used a SFX Iguana green and it took but also needed to be touched up about every week or so.
So for my hair, blue dyes seem to work amazing. Pink is a hassle, green is not so hot either but not as much of a hassle.

And I know what you mean, when I dye my hair
red it turns orange so quickly.

when i did mine red i used L'Oreal Colour Rays made for dark hair. It was permanent, very vibrant and required no bleach at all. If you ever see a pic of me where the hair is red, that is what I used and would recommend that.

i use directions hair dye
did it three weeks ago with red, green and blue
the greens abit yellow now
but the rest, i swear, are getting brighter
just leave it on for longer than it says so

It really depends on the color and your hair, after 3-4 months I tried bleaching out the atomic pink in my hair, nothing happened, at all. Tried again, went slightly lighter pink but I ended up dying it over with nuclear red (also special effects) and after about 1-1½ months I was able to bleach that out to blonde.
