Yea I didn't know whether to do it or not either bc I didn't know if it would look good on me....but I just decided to do it, I just told myself if it looked bad it's just hair it will grow back ^_^
Just a basic Hi! As being a girl with a hawk, I love it. It's the easiest hairstyle I've had and I've shaved most if not all of my hair off before. The mohawk is definitely funner, and it helps because it has a tendency to -start- conversations for you. Other people seem to be really curious about the hawk, why you have it, how does it stay up. I think that's great. So many amazing looking hawks out there!
Hey Amy, yeah, I was the same way with the shyness (especially around people I'm not that familiar with, go figure.) But you're right, strange as it sounds, it actually helps a lot with that: being a convo starter and relaxing you into more conversation (even ones you start yourself.) Kinda cool when you think about it!
Hey ladies. I absolutely have to agree with some of the previous comments about the 'hawk being a conversation starter. Definitely makes social interaction easier when you are shy/distant around strangers like I tend to be.
LOL, everyone I've met has seemed to love my 'hawk. Then again, having met most people while walking my adorable GSD somehow seems to make me more approachable. ;P
Even if they did want to try to start something, we could take them.
And we would be all over youtube and probably the local news at least. *Today at 5, girls with mohawks took over the city. Why were they here? Tune in tonight for the full story*
Oh god, I hope so!! The city that ignores dozens of mohawk'd women would be stupid. Such good publicity. haha. We could put a documentary on YouTube and watch all the media outlets haha
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm saying it should most likely be in a city that thinks it's liberal but is in fact really conservative. Really blow the lid off of it!
now that would be funny! have a few cities across the world be the centers of this, and everyone just go to the one thats closest to you.
although i do love a good road trip, so if this were to happen, i would want to contact a few mohawked girls in my area and road trip to whichever city we choose
Hells yeah! roadtrips are the best. I have met more mohawked girls recently, so I would get them with me and roadtrip. I'd want to go somewhere besides my city. Perhaps the bible belt... On a Sunday... Right as church is letting out. Hahaha, this could be great.
I learned the hard way that mohawks and public schools don't mix. :D I wore my 8 inch hawk to a Varsity soccer banquet, which might I add I worked myself practically to death to get on varsity, only to be told by the coach at practice the next day that it was "inappropriate" and drew "Uneeded attention to the individual". Now that I've been nominated for a class favorite the school board put on the dress code that "Any deviation" would not be allowed on stage at the presentation ceremony. This is crap.
Opinion on trihawks? Do they look good on girls and if you could look at my pictures, do you think I could pull it off? I really want to do it but im unsure.
my x hates punks and mohawks, but it thinks im adorable as well. confuses me as well.
I love tri hawks too but there just too much for me, im lazy,lol..
okay. this is what you do jen.
get a comb, hair spray (suave 10 works great), and a blow dryer
1. comb your hair out. 2. comb up maybe two-three inches of the front, and hold it at the tips. 3. spray the hair spray all over that chunk of hair you're holding up 4. blow dry for a minute or two on each side 5. continue with the rest of it. 6. check it over. 7. add more hairspray.

It couldn't be too big though, most of the really big cities are used to stuff like that.

and a city that doesn't host too many punk shows, either, cause that would just be second nature to them.
Plus, the middle of nowhere is hard to get to sometimes, especially if you aren't from the area.

Uhm dirty jokes aside, you should try to have a free mohawk day, give a bunch of girls mohawks, then tell them you guys are going on a road trip!
