About Me:: Started MohawksRock.com in November 2007, after finding it hard to find a good amount of information on how to actually make a mohawk. In the sites first year we have had over 1 Million hits from 150+ countries and 1000 members. Since then we have had 10,000,000+ pages viewed in 200+ countries with our top cities being London, NYC, Dublin, L.A. and Sydney.

I apologize if it takes me awhile to get back to you on comments or emails. I really do try to get back to everyone. After the first 1000 members I haven't been able to add everyone as a friend, but if you have joined, you are definitely a friend so feel free to add me too.

If you have a mohawk you know what its like to be looked at funny and even ostracized or admired. Keep this in mind on here and have respect for the different viewpoints of members here. We all have something more in common than awesome hair and that is an extreme sense of self and individualism. That sometimes causes arguments and harsh feelings, but remember they are as you are.

Finally, promote the site! Put links back to the site wherever you find necessary. The more active members we have the better information we will have and the more collective influence we will have. Tell your mom, dad, friends and co-workers. Lets unite a community of seemingly sparse individuals across the world.
How Tall Are You With and Without the Mohawk:: I'm 6'11 without the mohawk, and I'm typically over 8' tall with it standing, as I don't cut it below 13 inches just for this reason. Currently the hawk is around 20 inches putting me at 8'7 taller than Leonid Stadnyk (8'5), the worlds tallest man.

How did you find MohawksRock.com: Well, I was amazed the domain name was still available in November 2007, so I bought it and started up this social network for all those that love mohawks.

Not much of a Lions fan. Actually, I'm not a big NFL fan. I am a huge Big 10 football fan, though (I root for the Northwestern Wildcats in Wolverine and Spartan country). Well, as the situation stands, I'm gonna have to take my hawk out back old yeller style...for the time being, money actually is an important factor, so I have to temporarily consecrate my mohawk to the gods of "economic" america. I already told my supervisor that this is gonna be my last season at Six Flags--I can provide customer care like no one else, regardless of what's on top of my head. I've held a job before where they let me keep it (under a beanie) so I might go back there later...it's a shame the people that work at Six Flags are so damn friendly and nice, or else it would be a lot easier to say bugger off! and find some other place!

Ah well, this is the last time I let a job tell me what I need to look like. I was hoping that my record from last year (spotless, perfect, and pretty damn good!) would allow me some shoulder space, but I guess not...

It's kinda strange though, y'know? How people treat other with mohawks...I mean, yes, it's general human nature to be suspicious/fear the unknown, but we live in a world with so many stereotypes that those of us with mohawks have nearly no chance! That's why I'd always say "Fine then, I'll MAKE them get to know me, so then they'll see who I really am!" Sometimes though, it's just not worth the effort--some people are too stubborn to change.

All this, over a hairstyle that some of us have altered into a lifestyle...

Ah, well, if anything, I can at least take solace in knowing that my phoenix will be back--dying and rising from the ashes, again and again...

It's funny--the other Andrews' in the Trio already have a burial spot picked out. Kids...:P

Well, tonight I'm getting hammered, so my hawk's going out with a bang!

Firstly heya!

On Fotki you can create a free account that you can upload x amount of pics, not sure how much, i have a premium account where i pay i think 20-25$ a year subscription (i forget), and to me i think thats pretty fair because my pics aint just for my viewing but mainly so my friends can see, and take what pics they like from there etc rather than getting them printed
