Rocking now, Rocked in the past, Thinking about rocking it sometime, Just like watching others rock them
Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
Started MohawksRock.com in November 2007, after finding it hard to find a good amount of information on how to actually make a mohawk. In the sites first year we have had over 1 Million hits from 150+ countries and 1000 members. Since then we have had 10,000,000+ pages viewed in 200+ countries with our top cities being London, NYC, Dublin, L.A. and Sydney.
I apologize if it takes me awhile to get back to you on comments or emails. I really do try to get back to everyone. After the first 1000 members I haven't been able to add everyone as a friend, but if you have joined, you are definitely a friend so feel free to add me too.
If you have a mohawk you know what its like to be looked at funny and even ostracized or admired. Keep this in mind on here and have respect for the different viewpoints of members here. We all have something more in common than awesome hair and that is an extreme sense of self and individualism. That sometimes causes arguments and harsh feelings, but remember they are as you are.
Finally, promote the site! Put links back to the site wherever you find necessary. The more active members we have the better information we will have and the more collective influence we will have. Tell your mom, dad, friends and co-workers. Lets unite a community of seemingly sparse individuals across the world.
How Tall Are You With and Without the Mohawk:
I'm 6'11 without the mohawk, and I'm typically over 8' tall with it standing, as I don't cut it below 13 inches just for this reason. Currently the hawk is around 20 inches putting me at 8'7 taller than Leonid Stadnyk (8'5), the worlds tallest man.
Well, I was amazed the domain name was still available in November 2007, so I bought it and started up this social network for all those that love mohawks.
Hi im nick. new on mohawksrock. i think you are reffering to sir stamford raffles haha... btw im only 14, waiting to have a new mohawk after my last 2 weeks in school!!
Hey, thanks for the comment. Yeah, I'm mainly into game programming. Recently been playing around using a Wiimote in my PC stuff. I do all sorts - use to work as a programmer, but it's my own life-long hobby still. That and later the hawk ;)
You've got one smart, tall hawk - gotta love the flag colouring idea.
Hello, thanks for the nice welcome. I'm from germany, hopefully I'll be able to upload some good quality pics of my mohawk soon.
I really love your mohawk though, looks great. I fell in love with alot of mohawks in the past few days, thanks to mohawkrocks.com. I'm really glad I found it, probably my favorite site ever.
> Being in Ukraine, do you have to put up with some of the government anti-punk rhetoric going on is Russia?
No. Simply ukrainian climate is warmer than russian climate, and I like that. Also there are many my friends and relatives in Ukraine, because of that I live here)
thanks for the welcome. great site, btw.
i think deep down i was always a punk - just took the friends party to be the good excuse to become what i really am!!
Hey GMM! How I got into web design: The very short version is that I got really into computers, and wanted to put up a fansite. Then the store I was working for closed, and I talked to a friend of mine about starting our own store online, so we did. So it just escalated from there, and we closed the store last year, so now I'm freelancing. :)
I figure with my hair cut the way it is, I could probably do liberty spikes easier than a hawk but I definitely wanna try it out one of these days when I'm not feeling incredibly lazy haha.
Thanks for the comment!
I just got my mohawk done, actually! I love it. A lot of people have stopped me on the street to feel it when it is up, and I love it.. up or down. Hotness.
Umm.. I dunno, really. I like almost all music, but my a few of my friends have a band, just a small local one, but they got me into the rock scene here in Maine.. the audience isn't as large here as it is in big cities, but there are a large amount of cool cats that hang out with the bands.

you might wanna go with xshyx on that one doll. i dont drive so i cant get out anywhere for when a cali meet even is set up until my boyfriend moves here from rhode island. and on top of that im pretty shy and obviously dont get out much XD not the best to be planning a social event! haha
though if my boyfriend does get here before a meet is planned i would be more then happy to help her set things up! i just dont want to be taking on something like that and making promises while im completely shut out from leaving the house.
Hey man. Sweet, yeah, I like it here a lot. We do almost every phase in construction with a few trades sub'd out. I enjoy framing and trim.. roofing somewhat, but I'm more into the carpentry.
Hey, GMM. No worries. I do stop by to check the place out and welcome those who need a cheery hello. I really appreciate the word of mouth and hope to do an awesome job for future tattooers to point them in a good direction. Keep up the good work!
I've thought about getting rid of mine several times and just having a normal hairstyle so I wouldn’t have to wear a wig anymore. The wig is a major pain but honestly I would be more upset if I didn’t have my hawk.
Thanks. No inspiration really I just have always loved them and have wanted one for 5 years now. So, I'm so happy that I finally have it. I have a lot of colors in mind. Not to sure what to do yet. There are so many choices aha.
Hey mate thanks for the welcome! It's true, the punk scene (although small) is strong and an increasing amount of Missourians are sporting the mohawk. Exciting times!
check out, if you are looking for shows, the knitting factory, or europa in brooklyn, or the fillmore in union square. as far as bars go, there is a good one in the lower east side called lorely, its a german bar.
Wanna get good discussions about the world of tattoos, piercings, scarification, branding and basically body mod stuff. If ya see anyone around here who is interested in the field, send them that way. Hope it will be a good start to point people in the right direction. Again, thanks for all the word of mouth! You rock, GMM!
thanks man its kinda werid being from a small town in iowa and being a punk and anarchist but i just keep being me and how i am and don let anyone tell me how to be.thanks again man. l8r
Thanks for the site man. I work at a Penn Station, which is basically a high-class Subway. They are mainly a Mid-west United States thing, but are steadily growing.
