Hi, Marcus. I would love to see a Hawk convention somewhere. I mentioned it earlier in another post on another subject.

So many questions to ask first. Where? What city probably has the greatest amount of hawk rockers? When? Where at within the city? How easy is it for others to get there (and cost of travel?) How long a meeting? Entertainment? Food? Hawk haircuts or styling? Contest? Door prizes? Vendors? ( t-shirts, hair products, DVD's)

Since a lot of people on this site are under 18 or even 21, what about liquor?

Just a few questions to start. I'm sure Giant Mohawk Man would support it.

I can't see a large national convention at this time, but a small one to begin in one or two cities would kick the idea off. Since I noticed a couple photos of mohawked punk rockers and friends as some type of event, maybe try to have a gathering of hawks at an existing event such as a Ren Faire, Comic Con convention, pre-concert, street fair or festival. Anywhere where the majority of people around us would welcome the group and not be hostile.

I tend to be conservative, I see the convention as somewhat mainstream.

I would guess the most hawks would be in NY, LA, Chicago, Seattle, London or Amsterdam. One day, a Saturday. Depending on ages of attendees, maybe at a bar, restaurant, small resort or hotel or private home????

I could see a buffet or trip to a local restaurant together to awake the locals! Contest for guys and gals - different types of mohawks. Is there an 18 and older club in the chosen city that could book a band? Or maybe form a new band called Mohawk or The Mohawks. Hair cutting, of course.

June or July '09 maybe as tenative date, summer weather is better and school is out Reminds me - wonder if Six Flags would go for it - they love groups)
