Acryllic paints, ahoy!

Today, I am inspired by an artist by the name of Chuck Close, who I first saw when he was interviewed on The Colbert Report.

His style reminds me of those tile projects with which high school art teachers love to burden their students. Fortunately, I have been able to escape such an undertaking. At the same time, it makes me feel somewhat unfinished. I'm the kind of girl who has a terrible habit of looking at someone else's artwork and saying "I can do that", without really proving anything.

This winter, I will fulfill my need for artistic geometry, and prove to myself that I'm still the artist I know myself to be.... I hope.
