Mohawks And Dating (or perhaps "The Mohawk Mating Call")
Hey gang!
Just wondering people's experiences or thoughts as they relate to mohawks and dating/relationships... Some possible questions to mull over for this thread:
* If you're dating someone, do they have a mohawk as well? What do they think of yours? Was a mohawk at all influential in meeting the person you are with?
* If you're single, do you find a mohawk to be something very attractive in others? If you're rocking a 'hawk now, is it something you'd hope someone else would find extremely attractive about YOU?
* Any fun or interesting experiences you've had regarding dating and mohawks?

As for my own replies to the above, I'm currently single and currently rocking a ~7" fan which I'm hoping to keep growing out. I have to admit that (on the right person) I find a mohawk amazingly damn sexy, and it's definitely something I'd be likely to go up to said person and start a conversation about to break the ice.
Besides simply enjoying the fun that is rocking my own hawk, I admit that I hope it's something someone else would find attractive about me - or at very least something visually unique that singles me out as someone interesting. (Makes it harder to get lost in the crowd as it were, and also tends to help filter out the judgmental idiots you'd not want to talk to anyway, let alone ever consider hitting on!)
Personally, I think that while the criteria you date someone on should surely be a lot deeper than simple outward appearances, I think there's nothing wrong with a screaming uniqueness to help attract the attention of other cool, open-minded people! :D

Well why don't you live here? We totaly need a real mohawk community. The internet is great but I've never really met and talked to anyone else with a mohawk so it would be interesting.

I'm single as well, I would love to meet a girl with a hawk my age. Unfortunately I have not met a girl here with a mohawk (ok a girl my age). But then its because where I go and who I hang out with. I do have a lot of girls come up to me to ask about my hawk. But again they are either two young (16 or younger) or to old (40 and over) And the ones closer to my age just want to play with my hair over anything else. I'm not stressing over it though, cause I know that I'm a F'ING CATCH!! I mean mohawk shows I'm open minded. I have culinary arts degree so I can cook. AND I'm a licensed and nationaly certified massage therapist! On top of all that I'm adorable, what else could a girl ask for?

i dig a good hawk on a dude, especially if they have some sick sideburns too. I've dated one person with a mohawk in my life and he got to try to outdo my hawk. I think most chicks look like dumbasses with mohawks (probably myself included).

I disagree, I find Chelsea hawks probably the most attractive hair cut I woman could have. It is a shame more girls don't rock it.

I was with a guy for the longest time and he wanted me to be the "preppy" girl. Have long hair and shit. I was very self concious so I let him boss me around. About two weeks after we broke up I go the mohawk I've always wanted. I've been growing it out ever since and it has been every color of the rainbow. Breaking up with him was the best decision I ever made and I will NEVER let anyone have any say in how I look. I am who I am damn it so if you don't like it FUCK YOU! Mohawks on guys are the sexiest thing next to piercings and tattoos. It is definaly a conversation starter. I would love to be with a guy who has a mohawk then I know he wouldn't feel embarassed being with me when I get all the wierd looks and comments in the mall.
