About children...
If you guys want/have children how would/do you raise them? Do you raise them on children's shows and cartoons, or do you let them watch action or horror movies?
Personally I was raised on horror movies and metal. My husband are trying to have kids and I plan on raising our kids in much the same way, except on punk not metal (even though I do like me some metal, but they'll mostly be hearing punk as that's mostly what my husband and I listen to).... and I won't have them around any illegal drugs.
So what's your take?

i luv my kids to death and i try to let mthem be themself id ont force stuff on them except treat other with respect and be curtious to others they will be who they want to be i will love them unconditionally.its all i can do i want to be ther for them through whatever i want to be the parent and friend something i never had when i was a child good luck and hope the best for yu all ASH

My take, I don't want children. My best friend and his wife are just having their first soon. I've already said I ain't baby-sitting. =D
I don't mind children of folk I know, I get along well enough with them.
Other children can be a pain, obviously not all of them, but there are enough rude, arrogant ones around to demonstrate that they aren't learning manners, self-control and respect for others and their property. The sad thing is when so-called adults behave the same in public to strangers.
I would say that people should get more training on how to cope with bringing up children before and during. It seems like people are just left to struggle on their own without anyone except family & friends to ask advice of.

Ya. In my opinion some people should have to take some sort of test (like a psychology exam or something) before they have kids.

my kids always hear metal blastin. My oldest i had when i was 17...is now 13 an pierced an wild as shit. an wants ink like his dad. Hes into metal an punk! when our youngest was born we had his lobes pierced within weeks of comming outta my ol lady.

Aaahhh.... it always makes me cry when babies get their ears pierced. Not because I'm against it, but they scream and cry when they get pierced most of the time.

fuckn A dude. I got 3 kids...the oldest i had when i was 17...hes now 13/14 an wild as shit...total punk rocker. already pierced an planns on getting sleeves the 2 others are also getting there. 1 is 3 an the other is less then a year. already lobes pierced....hell yea

i couldn't even image having kids right now. i've moved 5 times in the past year and between moves lived in my car.
but i do feel people can be great parents regardless on life stly as long as they always try and do what's best for the kids in the long run. i have lots of friends who are tattooed punks/metal heads, who are straight edged or smoke pot, who party when their kids are with babysitters, ex. it's not about the kind of life you live as long as you do right by the kids.
