How/what do you use to put up your awesome Mohawk?
Aright, by coming to site, i've made my decision to chop if my hair and get a MOHAWK. but. I need help trying to rock my hawk. What brand of hairspray/gel/hair glue works best?

hairspray (any kind will do, I use treseme freeze spray) then got2b glued spiking glue

It's even more expensive for me; I think about $12 a bottle. But it's worth it and I can afford it. Also, I only use a little bit of glue each time I stlye my hair; most of it is hairspray. I have thin hair so a comb tends to slip right through when I put it up; so I run a little bit (about a pea sized ammount) of hair glue through a section first and then hold it up with a comb. That makes the comb stick in it and I can pull it up easily without worrying about stray hairs.

yer like they are saying its got too be GOT 2 BE!! will keep your hawk up for agesssssss, then i use got2be glu on the top bit to make it spikey

if your hair is thick and luxurious and bountiful and cromulent...wait that last adjective isn't even a word...either way, if you have thick hair, you can use backcombing and NOTHING ELSE. start with one section up front, comb in short tiny strokes backward, starting at the roots and working your way up. pretty soon you'll notice that it stands up on it's own. i use backcombing only, and only a very light squirt of hairspray at the end to keep it up all night...that way you have your hawk up, it's still soft and not icky or crispy to touch, you don't have to wash your hair down, and it doesn't hurt if you sleep on it

Thanks. Alot of my friends use rave 4. Because it's cheap. And yeah got 2 be seems like what's keeping everyones hair up. So I'll try that out. Btw I'm getting my Mohawk sometime this week.

Gel and spiking glue is best used for the tips of mohawks, but is often used in shorter mohawks
Hairspray is good for any length, and the strength depends on the length.
Wax is shit.
Knox gelatin is good for anything but fans, it takes a while if you only use knox, but it works well and stays up for ages, it is also cost effective.
Egg whites do work, but you end up with a crappy version of the result knox will give you.
BRAND IS IRRELEVANT IN 9 OUT OF 10 CASES
Don't always resort to got2b because it can be expensive and hard to find, there are lot's of other possibilities.
