Mohawks Rock

I want to start off with it floping over to the side how long should my hair be to get it to flop over like that. And should I still use gel or use hairspray

I'm growing out my hair now so when it hits summer time I'm gonna get one cause I always wanted a big mohawk and are they hard to put up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSZQObvltC4 this guy makes it look easy but this is how to put it up. you'll probably struggle a goodbit the first few times, but you get better with practice.

How do I prevent gaps in my mohawk

after all my hair is standing, i just move it into place to close the gap, then spray and dry that area again.

long enough to flop over the side...5 inches maybe? i think mine was 5 or so when i got mine and its always done that. its almost 8 now, but im gonna get it cut back to like 6. deffinately spray. gel is heavy and will kind of slump down in the front. plus there will be gaps and it wont stay up as long. ive started using sugar water lately, but it flakes a lot. try aqua net or aussie or got2b.

my hair was about a little past my eyes so when it was over to one side it was right above my ears.

but now its touching my shoulders when to the side
