How do I get my hawk less crusty

My hawk is 9' and i use got2bglued freeze spray and hair glue to put my hair up. How do i get it less crusty? I think it comes from the glue idk. Should i try different products and use less of curent product? Help my hair is black and the crust makes it look white.

I would say its the glue. I used to just use elmer's glue because I found a shit ton of it for 5 cents a piece. The trick I found works best is to rub the glue in very thoroughly until you cant see any of it. then hit it with the spray.
