Pop punk?

The term pop-punk just doesn't sit right with me. What is your opinion on pop-punk?

im going to be the honest one here and admit that i was wrong about the topic. after thinking futher into it i realized that not all pop punk bands are pieces of shit and the shit is only the mainstream. i would go one further and state that mainstream pop punk needs its own genere but who the hell wants another thing stupid thing to remember. well whatever. in regards to the term i still think it is inaccurate.

I have a different definition of Pop-Punk than most. My idea of pop punk is really just punk where you can understand the lyrics, and not as much of a heavy metal influence. I mean, there are local bands without a large following that I'd still consider "Pop-Punk."
