Mohawks Rock

I just saw a meteor - it was unbelievable!

The sky was overcast, the moon behind the clouds - and in the only clear section of sky I was watching as I walked and there suddenly, this thick white-blue streak flashed across and then thinned to a brief orange streak in a fraction of a second.

It was like twice the thickness of a good lightning stroke - never seen anything as bright or big before.

Have you had any meteor sightings to tell about?

Just saw a few more little meteors tonight there - but they really don't compare to the size of that single one I saw before! Tonight, they just look like streaks around the size of a star pinpoint; whereas, the one I saw before was around the size of a quarter of the apparent moon size tonight.

Anyone see some good sightings tonight?
