It's looking good on you Tom......glad you are liking it....it takes time to get your Hawk out there.......I know when I started mine, people are like wtf? Then they don't say much cause they figure it is a phase and will soon pass, then when they start seeing you grow it longer, or style it up every day, day after day, and that you really do like it, then most of them realize that hey, it IS cool. I think a lot of people really want to do something like get a Hawk, but are just too scared to ignore what other people think. As I get older, I care less and less about what other people think. Most people are just so ignorant of what is around them, they are scared of change. Keep us posted with current pics, and ask us any q's you have! :-)

That's still pretty good that your Mum and Dad support it.  I think most of us have had the odd argument or two ;) with our families about having a 'hawk - I know I did! haha  Still, it's all good - it's your hair and you have to be happy with it yourself most of all. :)

As it gets longer, I think the straightening will get easier - just more hair to hold onto to keep in the straighteners.

My parents are pretty supportive, I know my mother actually likes it, she always does my sides, my father likes it too I guess. My brother doesn't care. I'm afraid my fathers side of the family is not too fond with it, they say it's nice, but it's noticeable it's not really meant. I have indeed really thick hair, but also really curly hair, it's quite hard to straighten it every morning, but it gets easier and I'm getting used to it.

Anyway, on topic - it's getting better, man - it suits you and looks like you have good thick hair, which is a great thing!
