I find the easiest and best way to fan is to tease it lightly before using hairspray to knit it all together - and not to drown it in hairspray in one go but to spray little by little so you can shape and fix it as you go.

Thank you much. I'm in the planning phases for a christmas mohawk. Maybe white for snow, and figure out a way to get some green trees dyed in with some low energy real lights.

Congratulations on finally getting your mohawk, that rocks! I use the got2bglued stuff, and generally lay down and do it in two sections with the hairspray and a dryer. The last time I had a friend help and that really helped alot since its about 16 inches long and getting the back can sometimes be a pain.
