Luck
Today me and my brother were in the car and saw a man who was down on his luck, so we pulled over and gave him what we had to help brighten up his Christmas. We talked for a few minutes and we found that he is a really nice guy who got delt a rough hand. He proceeded to say "God bless you and have a very merry Christmas I wasn't sure when I would get the chance to eat again", he shook my hand and started walking again. Which made me think if the little that I had could make a difference why is he out there at all, I think the world would be a little better if more people practiced empathy.

Yes, remembering to think on others and actually taking action to do something for them is very rare. Too often people just ignore what makes a difference to others and yet is little for them to give.
I hope the guy had some place to stay. I'm sure he'll remember your kindness for a long time. It's nice making a memory like that.

There are a few shelters around here and some great places to go if you are roughing it on the streets
