is it okay to have saftey pins absolutley everywhere on your clothes?

i know this sounds stupid, Im just wondering why i seem to get labeled a "wannabe punk" at school because i have so many pins on my clothing. I have them there cos i want to. Does anything similar happen to anybody else? it really pisses me of because im just being myself.

I really only put safety pins on stuff, when I have a hole in something and I'm too lazy to sew it together/patch over it.
I use safety pins a lot, I use them to replace earrings that I loose. I use them to hold stuff together. I usually keep them on me, they can be useful.
I keep three fairly large ones on my hat and one on the inside of my zipper of my pants (don't ask....lol)
I get crap daily for much worse than having pins on me. They've been there since I got into high school...which I am well out of ;-) but even in high school, a lot of people thought it was clever. Some thought it was dumb, but since when does planning for wardrobe malfunctions (broken zippers/buttons/bra straps worst kind!) make you a poser or make you look like you're trying to hard?

I mean...don't be afraid of what people say about you, ya know? What the fuck do they know? And it's not a big deal..if they are petty enough to point it out and call you a poser (like the preppy assholes) then you know they don't have anything really intelligent to say to you and you can call them out on it. Besides, who made them the authority on punk? Douche bags =]
You're you. They can't force you to change!

lol @ fake prada purses.
i use safety pins as a reliable and cheap source of earings, haven't let me down yet.
also good when your clothes get battered to fuck at gigs.
like covering you or just a couple of them here and there either way there is nothing wrong with you wearing them on your clothes
just be careful hugging people! lol
only use them if you have nothing better, i put them on my jacket lining the pockets, so if something falls off it somehow, i can fix it fast xD

but who cares, if punks wanna be superior then let them, its not gonna affect you (probably).
people talked shit about me at a show in Oklahoma City because i didnt sew my patches on with floss... i'm not suprised you encountered something similar. It just goes to show you how dissillusioned the punk scene really is... we've put aside the message and the purpose of being ourselves and have reverted back to a form of judgement found in mainstream culture, needless to say doesnt that defeat the purpose of being different? Not to brag or anything but i find that the punks who are the most true to themselves come from small towns, like where i'm from. There's no 'scene' or 'tribe' here its just you (maybe a handful of your friends) and fuck what anyone else thinks.... Stay strong, stay punk, do whatever the fuck you want to do man
I don't know a lot of people who sew with floss, to be honest.
But I'm capable and and just fine with regular thread, and so does everyone else.
Hell I embroider with it too. haha

If you're ever out in my part of the east coast, you're more than welcome to join the collective haha, there is a bunch of awesome kids to meet.
sounds like fun!
I sew stuff on with used dental floss.
Reduce Re-use Recycle. =D

And yes, I am serious about that.
how the fuck can you let these fuckers talk to you like that just tell em you wanna be a cowboy and then just steel cap their face anyways who the fuck are they to judge you first and second are you a wannabe punk? is that what you think ? if its not just tell em to go fuck themselves before you fuck em up or if it fails just go wash some windshield on a street corner theyre gonna understand and again if it doesnt work just go to the nearest trift shop and buy the last casualties shirt .Me in the time people used to call me punk just because i defended the punks at school but anyways we all were wannabe at one day or another
