Mohawks Rock

Out of curiosity, what kind of jobs do you hold down? (I have no official job, I just do freelance art for cash on the side). Are you required to wear your hair down, or wear a bandanna? No wild colorings? I am just wondering about the possibilities and didn't see a discussion just about this.

Well at the time when i cut my hair again i waqs working at a movie theater...they didnt find it work appropriate, what was funny though is a couple managers liked it,said it showed off my face more, haha. But they didnt want to fire me but i couldnt work until it grew out some, so i got put on leave,a month-ish later it grew out enough[plus i dyed it all one color] and they let me work. I had to wear it down, but when i wear it in a ponytail it looks like i have hair :P...[Then i had to quit there anyways cus i moved 40mins away :( ]
Mostly pet portraits for people, my passion is drawing equines. ;P I will be looking for a more standard job in the near future though since the portraits aren't something I can just rely on.
I work 2 stores in a mall. Coach a high school fencing team. Volunteere(d) at a big non profit (couldn't color hair when I was in public eye).

No one really cares either way. I do what I want to do, and I also do my job well and have plenty of nice things being said about me to my managers (on top of everything, I was fucking hired with it over two years ago, bahaha). My customers love it. Except for the rash of douchebags this weekend.

If I don't have my hair up, I normally wear a pony tail and leave my bangs down or pin most of it back.
Haha, lucky! I worked with phones and customers. My newer DM before the store closed this winter said I was only allowed to wear my hair down and if I had ANY color I'd be fired. bahaha. He never met me but knew very quickly that i had a hawk...

Unless it was yellow. >.>
When I got my mohawk I had a job and my boss loved it, when I asked I think he was more excited than I was. But then I quit/got fired. And now my mum said this is my last hawk unles I can't get a job with my hair all "funked up" as she likes to call it. The only problem is I live in a very old school, conservative southern town.... =/
I work at a local small town Piggly Wiggly. The only requirement is that I wear my hair down. Otherwise I'm allowed to have my hair any color and/or any cut that I want. I just usually wear a bandanna since it's sometimes pretty chilly in there when you're missing hair from two sides of your head, or you're just too lazy to do anything with your hair. I've had my share of jerk ass remarks about it from customers (what with being a girl in northern Alabama and all), sure, but overall pretty much all of my co-workers love it and many of the customers enjoy it too. I've had several people approach me and tell me that I've encouraged them to be more themselves just because I'm so young and not afraid to show my true colors -- sometimes quite literally. :)
