Mohawks Rock

ok, so i've been rocking my hawk for about 6 months now and i LOVE LOVE LOVE it, but i was wondering if there was any better way to put up a fluffy mohawk

im not a big fan of the straight fan mohawk [[to each theirr own i suppose]] so i usually tease the shit out of my hair to put it up and make it super fluffy
but unfortunately towards the end, it almost ends up cone shaped because all the ends stick together at the top....
so im looking for more tips and help on how to put up my mohawk nice and fluffy
please help??
<3. Audrey

p.s. also tips on doing it half up would be AWESOME. like, how to make it stand out without having to put it all the way up....help????

using a really light hairspray?
Part your hair/hawk down the middle, spray the base of the hair, push it together, spray the outside and blow dry. That'll create a firm base for you to work from(you can add other products if you want or if you need, thats just the basic way and works for my hair).
With that firm base you can leave your hair floppy and it'll still stand off your head at the base or you can go on to do other things with the hair. The world is your oyster.

I'm not sure of the best way to have a fluffy hawk. I've messed with it once in a while and i just sprayed my hair, dry, comb it out, till i have the height i want and i guess leave the tips loose and comb out any spray thats touched it?
it's called a deathhawk btw. but you need to use a root boosting spray. it'll help a shitload
thanks, i appreciate it :)
i know its a deathhawk but i figured it was easier to describe it than to just leave it at that :P
erm. i fuckin love deathhawkin' it up.

best way to do it is to either do it on day-old hair, or after you shower, dont use conditioner. comb it out& brush it.. mine gets kind of frizzy at this point without conditioner. then you need to once-over your hair with hairspray.

this is totally extra work, BUT if you want it SUPER DUPER fluffy and amazing, i find that curling after hairspraying it causes it to have more volume. then you can tease it [fluff the hair by pulling a comb rapidly up and down your hair] until its fluffy..

take a round brush to make the edges look nice and fluffy. you can spray again to keep it up, but if you want to keep the fluffiness of it, you will (again) have to brush it out a bit..

basically i do the same thing for my spikey mohawk, i just brush it out a lot more.. my hairs really thick, heavy and smooth, so if i dont do all that shit, it just falls out.

sorry i type so much xP

hopefully this helps?
Dude I've been breaking my ballsack trying to figure out how to fluff it properly, also...
I can successfully fluff it but then the middle of my mohawk like splits down the middle cause that's how the hair is right there and if I try and spray it up it ruins the fluff...I get really mad and give up. Help us people haha
ok peeps listen up, ive been doing hair for almost ten years and i rock the hawk a lot.. i love mine teased like goth eighties fluffy.. so when i wash it with no conditioner then i put volumizer in it, blow dry it with a round brush, then spray a teasing comb with hair spray, then tease the fuck outa it. then i spray hair spray where i think is needed take a blow dryer on low bake it in mold it in place put a little hair spray on your fingers and twist the ends all different ways.. and thats it....
