changing the skin on my profile page

Hey man - it's an edit function.

Did you want to change it to a pre-made template on the website itself, or a unique background?

On your "My Page" section on the left you will see a link that says "Manage My Page".

There, find the option under Appearance that says
"Change your theme on the Appearance page."

Once in here you can choose some preset themes or completely edit the page all the way down to customizing your own CSS, depending upon your level of programming ability and how much you want to do with the page.
