Mohawks Rock

Was wondering what everybody did for a living/Job. Has having a Hawk affected your employment? At work do you wear your hawk up or down?

I work for London Underground at Oxford Circus Station, had me hawk for a few months now a few comments but nothing negative, and the company rules state that hair muct be clean and tidy. Well I think a hawks pretty tidy lol and I generally wear mine up.

I am/was a machinist and I've had nothing but hassels from them. not to mention they're being as hard on me as they can about everything.
Post.
I worked at the polls today verifying voter registration. Heavy turnout. Several voters commented on my 'hawk. All comments were positive, coming from 18 y/o's to one 85 y/o gentleman with a walker who really dug the 'hawk. I want to be like him if I get to 85.... :).
BOO!
Ive not my hawk yet, I had a mini one at one of my last jobs, I worked in a toyshop, and they were really flexible on style/colour etc.

My job after is one I refuse to discuss but I had it neon pink when I was there and it helped.

Then I had a black and tuquoise chelsea and worked in an alternative shop so that was OK

Now I work in a shop that mostly little old ladies shop in and I was told to dye my hair by one of the top cunts because it was too intimidatin. The little old dears started a petition for me to keep my hair colour and I received nothing but compliments but I really needed the job so ended up having to dye it all black.

Now I look so normal its driving me insane. SO my manager is asking if I can dye it, shes already sad yes to the hawk idea aslong as I wear it down. But we're going for black fringe, pink hawk and black buzzed sides.
Lifeguard and trying to find work in massage therapy. All my career advisors told me until I get a steady set of clients or the right job I might have to cut it or keep it down. I feel that my hands are the important aspect of finding work, and when I was in school I massaged the public and everyone but two people didn't like it. Honostly it kept my hair out of my face, sweat didn't accumilate in my hair and just went straight to my head band/bandana. And people would ask for the guy with the mohawk when they couldn't remember my name.
I work for the carnival, So i can pretty much dress and have my hair how I want to.
I work for a pharmacy and a retail store that not too many people are happy with (but getting docs for 60 bucks doesn't kill me, so the discount is well worth it).

Second store has no problem, whatsoever. First store, only the store manager has an issue. But she came on well after I was hired (with the mohawk, no less) and since I'm one of her best employees (no joke) I get away with it. I rather enjoy and take advantage of the "managers discretion" policies.
i work in a 4star hotel in glasgow city centre and my uniform makes me look like a tit but i still got me mohawk and its good to see the suits not happy and freaked out....
I'm a freelance computer technician in NYC. I set my own wage, work when I want, and have no one to answer to. It is funny seeing people's reaction. They expect to see a suit, but see me. I get the job done quickly, they pay me, and always call me for more work. It just goes to show everybody that it about the quality of you work and not your appearance.
I am an entrepreneur, so I can set my own dress code! i usually wear my mohawk to work, often with a jacket or suit
i'm trying to work at hmv. applying all over the place... they seem to have no problem with it.
