Anarchy. This is a paper i wrote on the subject. I openly welcome debate.

Anarchy is not lack of control, anarchy means, literally: with out leaders. It’s the idea that the people know how to provide & govern themselves better than the so called leaders of this so called "civilization". History has proven that this is true. After all, it's always the leaders that start the wars, not the people, because in the end, the people know that they have something to lose, while the leaders only see gain (money).

If you think that anarchy can't work, you need to read more about native/primitive cultures. If a tribe actually had an appointed headman or chief, that person (usually) had no real power other than as a tie breaker on issues the tribe decided upon. They still had to hunt & grow their own food & sew their own tee-pee, but they also had to be the tribe’s diplomat & were at the service of the decisions that the entire tribe made.

The TRUTH is anarchy is the only system of human social grouping that has worked. In the 250, 000 years that homo-sapiens has been on this planet, it has only been in the last 10, 000 that warfare, poverty, epidemic disease & prejudicial oppression has existed. It has only been in the last 150-100 years that we have damaged our environment, possibly beyond repair. Guess what else popped up 10, 000 years ago? "Civilization."

You might say: "tribes had wars". No. they did not train a specific class of people & regiment them under rigid control for the sole purpose of slaughtering & conquering other nationalistic groups. In fact, any anthropologist will tell you that what most tribes participated in was called ritual brawling, & only rarely resulted in the death of another human, because the weapons they used were designed for hunting not fighting. In fact, the fist swords were made by "civilized" man...by shortening the handle & increasing the blade size of primitive mans hunting spears.

You might say: "I watch national geographic & those tribal guys in Africa w/the AK-47's & m-16's are dirt poor, diseased & some of the worlds worst oppressors of women." well, first of all, those are no longer real tribes, which is why they 1) Live an agrarian & urbanized lifestyle & 2) Carry modern weaponry & drive jeeps. In most tribes, women had equal responsibility & equal say as the men. In MANY tribes the women actually had MORE power than the men, something that has NEVER been accomplished by "civilization". Disease was NOT epidemic, which is why our diseases (a product of filthy, cramped & over populated urban living conditions) practically destroyed the Native Americans...i.e. because they'd never experienced anything like them before. & ALL poverty is the direct result of urban living conditions which favor putting wealth in the hands of a small minority. In fact, cities were designed originally for that very purpose, the accumulation & protection of the wealth of the elite.

You might say: "but, their life was so hard, we have so much luxury." to this I would answer with a resounding Bull #$%&. The average hunter/gatherer worked between 2 to 3 hours per day. PERIOD. They had elaborate arts & music. Well established & deeply meaningful religious experiences that did not over rule their human nature, but emphasized it. They had medicine. They had entertainment & long standing "literary" traditions. Most importantly they had the most egalitarian & the most open societies the world has ever seen. For example: the Trobriand islanders, a matriarchal society, practices unfettered sexual experimentation. The end result? They have no words for rape or child molestation because they do not exist in their society.

In just 100 years we've nearly destroyed the planet with our urban & "civilized" ways, in only 100 out of our 250, 000 year existence.

You can't overthrow the system. That’s what the system wants. It needs people to provide resistance to keep it running...like a perpetual motion machine. There’s a reason they call them revolutions. The only way to win & live truly free is to walk away & learn how to provide all of your own needs for yourself. In the process, you will help save the environment; you will no longer be contributing money or labor into a system that will only use that money & the fruit of that labor to oppress others around the world. you will save many animals from being imprisoned & tortured & most of all...you will be TRULY free...as in: you will have the confidence of knowing that you no longer need the system for anything...& hence, they will no longer be able to frighten you into submission. This is why the primitives have always been slaughtered...they knew their lives were better & wouldn't submit because they couldn't be frightened

These are just some of the ideas of anarchy floating around out there.

Mutualism-
Market without government intervention: In other words a product you buy is paid for in labor done for the person selling the product toy you within reason. that's the basis of idea another definition would be under mutual system, each individual will receive the just and exact pay for his work; services equivalent in cost being exchangeable for services equivalent in cost, without profit or discount; and so much as the individual laborer will then get over and above what he has earned will come to him as his share in the general prosperity of the community of which he is an individual member.

Collectivist anarchism-
Workers would be compensated for their work on the basis of the amount of time they contributed to production, rather than goods being distributed "according to need"

Anarchist communism-
Individuals would not receive direct compensation for labor but would instead have free access to resources of the commune

Anarcho-syndicalism-
Points trade unions as a potential force for revolutionary social change, replacing capitalism and the state with a new society that is democratically self-managed by workers

Individualist anarchism-
Individual conscience and the pursuit of self-interest should not be constrained by any collective body or public authority. This is the typical anarchy that people think of. These anarchists are in the lowest numbers. This is the only anarchy that in fact would lead to true chaos. Most anarchist fight against these idea, and is a very heated topic.

Christian anarchist-
A group of anarchist who believe no man is higher then god and therefore no man shall have authority over another man (Rough idea much more deep then this basic definition though).

Anarcho-primitive-
This is a form of anarchy that has a vast amount of views and different forms behind it. The original was that man should revert back to a "tribal state." The idea of civilization was a bad move, and thus should abolish all technology. Some of the other views of this form of anarchy are different in many ways. One idea is to keep the modern way of civilized life but replace the trade economy with the idea of "goods valued for their utility or beauty rather than cost; commodities exchanged more on the basis of need than of exchange value; distribution to the society at large without regard to labor that members have invested; labor performed without the idea of a wage in return or individual benefit, indeed largely without the notion of 'work' at all."

These are just some forms of anarchy there are many others.

Lol this is what i send people when they tell em anarchy is chaos. I avoid using big words so that the idiots can understand it.
yes
Good to know that not the whole human race is hopeless. Oh if anyone else has any other forms that i didn't list let me know. I'd be glad to add them on.
another one ive heard of is alot like anarcho-primitive. it revolves around man disregarding civilization, and same with technology to live as one with nature harmoniously.personally i would agree with that one the most. or individualist anarchism. i hate when people think anarchism= riots and violence. in a sense it means quite the opposite.
anarcho-primitivism has some good thoughts behind it. I personally think a lot of technology is good but that we as individuals need to remain in control of it and not let it consume us as it has started to do. When people refuse to communicate in an emotionally sensitive way such as physical speech where you can hear tones etc, and prefer to talk online or send text messages, we have reached the point where we need to start getting away from technology. Sadly, that is where we are at today. Don't enjoy your surroundings or be a part of reality, just make sure you stay "connected" and in the loop of your friends....

A lot of technology that has developed has legitimately made our world better, especially when it comes to intricate medical procedures. I sure as fuck would not want to have any surgical procedure done 100 years ago!
anarcho-primitivism means a good portion of the worlds population will die, without certain treatments etc.
Anarcho-primitivism= death of over 90% of earths population.
they arent anarchists.
You have a well written piece there friend but I will expand on it that anarchism is not necessarily leaders. Anarchism is anti-hierarchical and wants us all to be leaders. Consensus based groups for example use a moderator when needed but will work to always rotate it and have everyone else in the group work towards being able to perform it (and every other position that is needed) When one person controls each thing it spreads division, elitism, and separatism which we have now...specialists for everything which is not what we desire.

I figured I would broaden that...that it is not no leaders, it is no hierarchy really which actually you do touch on at a point in your piece when you state the leaders had no power.

Overall it is a good piece that touches on a horribly distorted and misinformed topic. (Misinformed to the public, not you is what I mean) To really understand it and see how it works it really takes a lot of deprogramming of what we re raised and instilled with since birth which is constant competition, might makes right, and gender roles and so on. The revolution currently is not at a physical war but the mental war. Individuals need to do what they can personally and constantly strive towards breaking out of the control mechanisms enforced on them which you have stated. Also like you stated the more you do it, the easier it gets, the more good you cause and the more inspiration you give people and so on.

I have made a lot of anarchist posts here so it is good to see another one =)

I recommend checking ut crimethinc.com for a lot of free literature written in a really accessible way. Also check out http://www.infoshop.org/faq/index.html for an extremely lengthy and in depth FAQ on anarchism. Infoshop.org is also a great alternative news outpost.
you love your long detailed posts huh
I believe completely in taking the time needed to advance any knowledge of my causes and take the time to address things, yes =) It is my counter-action to the "busy society" we live in that dictates people are so busy they cant hash out an argument, points, or really do anything beyond trivial shit on the internet. I sincerely believe that to get past the shit we are in, we must understand it and how deep it runs and most do not see it or refuse to see it or even think about it. Over my 28 years of life I got sick of people making arguments or points with no sufficient back up as well that could be easily countered by simple reading sometimes.

I do not work, nor do I believe in work. I do believe in labor though. Labor which we choose to do and for me this labor comes in the form of learning, communicating, working on music projects, working on the distro i started, writing etc. =)

I will keep this one at that. Nice and short for a change. =) Hope it was not too much of a strain to get through haha =p
I loved this. Excellent wording, easy to understand/comprehend. Wonderful argument.
