Dreads

Recently my friend and I were fighting over proper care for dreads. He says that they can't be washed and i know different. I need others oppions to win this fight. Can anyone help me?

i wash mine every 3-4 days

Yeah, they need to be washed, but properly.
If you don't do it right they can mold and get really gross. >./body>
