Mohawk without shavin the sides.
Im still at school and we have a really strict dress code, and im really close to being expelled, so i was wondering how i could do a mohawk at the weekends, holidays etc without having to shave the sides of my head. My hair just brushes my shoulders and is usually teased out. But i really want a mohawk without shavin the sides, any help please!!

Hm... I suppose you could get a mohawk where the sides aren't completely shaved, but instead, buzzed, and during school you could just comb the "hawk part" of it to one side. That's what I do whenever I don't wear mine up, even though my school allows it.
You could also put it into a ponytail when it's not up.

Or, if you want it to still look different with your hair down, you could put it in multiple ponytails. I do that sometimes. Like, take a part of my mohawk and put it in a high ponytail, then take a little more hair and put that in a ponytail, and once again...so, in total about 4 ponytails going down in a row. Haha, its like a fan mohawk 'cept in ponytails.

do what i do =]. i put the hawk up (kinda difficult coz ya gotta separete the hawk bit)
and them put the 'sides' in bunches (check my pix if what i said doesnt quite make sense)

you can pull all your hairup and put it in vertical pony tails that fan out into a mohawk, it looks great a few members do it.
you can also just pull the sides into the mohawk, there are tons of ways to do it.

Look around at the members of this site, there are at least 2 that do the pony tail hawk and it looks fantastic.

Just tell your Mum it's just hair and it'll grow back! Now that I have a pixie/gamine style it's easier to throw up a hawk here and there - but I'm not in school anymore so I sposse that doesn't help.... Baccy has a really awesome style and I highly recommen stealing a few of her tricks ... also Brody Dale from The Distillers had shoulder length hair that she'd throw up into a hawk and just kept the sides down straight ... I have a pic of it like that at home I'll post on my pics so you can check out if you want.
