I never put my hawk up(because i m bored and because i usually wear a hat on the road)and it doesn't looks like a mullet.
Also many Anarcho-punks here in greece have mulet hawks and usually they have the mullet dreadlocks...
I like the mullet hawk with that the mullet is dreadlocks...
If you like to do a mulet hawk,just do it...don't care about what the others say.Think also that the "normal" people say the same for mohawks.
Do it and if you don't like it just cut the mulet...:)

Mul hawks rock dude. Complete randomness is awesome, and scene is so gay. Just do what you love bro, I love the mul hawk. Don't have one now, after a long time of tall hawks I decided to sport the speedbump. It's great, but I miss my mullet.
