The Obama pool
Gonna start a pool. There's no pot, it's just for A) shits and giggles, and B) to hopefully provoke a more serious discussion.
Right then: racism is still rife in the US, the UK and rather a lot of other countries in the global north. Divide and rule has it's claws in deep. Barack Obama is the US's first non-white president (he's not black btw, he's mixed-race.) Not everybody is gonna take kindly to having a man of mixed ethnicity running a country where a not inconsiderable number of people still feel that racism is a god-given right.
So, how long until some zealous nutjob shoots him? It doesn't have to be fatal, but the bullet does have to come within one metre of his skin. I'm gonna say 12 months. Any other takers?

Extremely true. Like he said in his acceptance speach, it won't be done in one term...but if, for once, a president keeps his campaign promises, maybe my country can get back on track and out of the shithole its in.

when I went to his rally a bit ago there was these two men on top of a building I was scared witless they where gonna shoot him until I realized they where security

Its okay ladies and gentlemen, When Obama gives the hillbilies some welfare money and tell them they still don't need to read books then everything will be fine between them. lets face it , every day that Obama breaths as US president , the white supremasists will lose face , ignorance & access to weapons means there is only one possible outcome , it's all about how much change he can bring about before his time runs out , the aftermath of such an event will be nothing short of civil war , black against white , the only winners will be the KKK a perfect recruitment drive :(
