Mohawks Rock

I think I'm gonna cut my 'hawk down a bit. It's just too hard to get liberty spikes without some gel. Plus my hair ain't thick enough or maybe I need a wider mohawk to get more hair to form good spikes?!

Mmm...well I'm bored atm, so I might do it tonight. I like having a "brush 'hawk" or whatever - like the same width at the base as at the top. With the extra height I have now, it just either tends to a peak or ends up getting battered down at the back from sitting and that leaves the top weird. =D

Anyone know of a vegetarian gel product? My last ones had gelatine in them. Cheap would be good...

I'm not a vegetarian, so I just rub chili in my hair. Sorry I can't be of more help. :'/body>

heh heh. chili-con-carne...chili-with-meat...yeah...but chili peppers are veggie :D That's what confused me.
most hair products have no animal bi-products in them. thta would be... fucked. it doesn't say "not tested on animals" anywheer on my hair spray so i don't know about THAT.
They don't use gelatine? I guess I should google - it's been years since I had any gel.

*edit* Mmm...the results are mixed, one forum was saying they do use gelatine (which is usually extracted from animal skin & bones). My old gel, I remember, used to have gelatine in its ingredients. It's why I stopped getting any, years ago.

Oh, not hair-spray, that's fine - I mean hair gel. Yeah, it's surprising how far spread bits of animals are used. XD

Thanks! Yeah, a bit of hunting and they have some gel in the Bath & Body section. Along with some hair thickener or straightening products! The latter is new to me!

Seems not too bad a price either (haven't checked postage) - though it's in $'s and the exchange rate is poor here atm. Still, one option anyway!

Cool, that's good to know there's a UK based option. Well, I decided to give up on spikes and chop the 'hawk down to more manageable size (also, need to let a bit of hair on one side match the height).

I'll be on the look-out again in a few months. I'm not too bad at fanning, so atm, that's easiest with the shorter hair. =)
