Thankfully, in the UK all that laces code died out ages ago.  As far as my experience goes over my life, no one has ever bothered about white laces in my DM's.  You hear in the news folk getting beaten up over the expensive sneakers but never about wearing white laces.  It sounds like an urban myth.

It's general understandment. My brother is a sharp, and I hang around with alot of sharps. Generally if they catch some white laces and it's a skin/punk walking alone, they'll kick the shit out of em.
