Wehave 6 kids with "Fauxhawks", but no one knows what a Real "MOHAWK" is..

I live in the north, and no one I know besides my best friend has a hawk, and his is of the faux variety. So if you'd like to come explain to everyone where I'm from that it is just a fashion statement, I would be very happy. Then maybe people would think I was hip and trendy, instead of on heroin and coke, possibly getting ready to steal their purses and run off to score some drugs

Well I can't worry about what other people are doing. I hate copying and being copied but, dammit, I want a Mohawk. I've always wanted one. I know what you're saying though. People are wearing it now because it's "trendy" or something, but it's bull because it either fashionably conservative or they don't have to worry about loosing anything, like their job or being harassed if someone doesn't like it. I always am for being myself. People down here think I'm goth when I just like to stand apart. Like all trends, it will fade and I'll still be wearing mine. That's what's up.

I'm getting a Chelsea and then I'm going to die it red. But just the cut tomorrow.

I don't see "everyone" around town wearing mohawks or even fauxhawks. Some members on this site, say they are the only one or about the only one in town with a hawk! Yes, it can a fashion statement nowadays, but wearing a hawk is still definitely an individual statement. Like piercing or tattoos, IMO. What's great about a hawk is the many ways you can style it. GH
