Hey, Ryan.  Five years ago . . . in the exchange of messages below . . . you said at that time you had kept your Mohawk for 8 or 9 years . . . after leaving the Marine Corps where you occasionally sneaked a very short military Mohawk ("war-hawk") past your gunnery sergeant whenever he wasn't enforcing military haircut regulations.

So now another five years have passed.  Do you still wear that great Mohawk today? . . . which would be approaching 15 years?  I sure hope so, because yours was absolutely the best-looking military Mohawk I have ever seen..

Ryan:  You are more than welcome to use the photos of the 101st Airborne Division Mohawks in your program.  Great idea. Those heroic guys have received too little recognition in modern times.  I've just posted some additional photos of modern-day paratroopers of the 101st reenacting the D-Day combat jump by carving Mohawks into their own heads.  What a great tribute.

Ryan:  So you're USMC.  No wonder you know how to carve the best-looking military-style Mohawk I've ever seen.  Marines do indeed know how to craft the world's best-looking warrior haircuts -- regulation or not.  I admire you for trying to slip a very short Mohawk past the Corp's haircut regulations.  After all, a Marine Corp "recon" cut is just a Mohawk without a tail, right?....a sort of super-short Mohawk..

And it's great that you've had the guts to keep the military-style Mohawk for 8 or 9 years.  Good for you!!!  That's part of the fun of shaving a Mohawk right?....just having the guts to wear it.  Hang onto it.  Yours looks really sharp.

I've added to my home page on this Website some historic photos of World War Two paratroopers introducing the military Mohawk to the world, which you may find of some historic interest.  They started it all.

Thanks for the video link  I'll check it out in the next day or so..

Ryan:  The particular Mohawk you have in those photos of you doing the field training exercises  is absolutely the best military-style Mohawk I have ever seen on anyone, anywhere, anytime.. That is precisely the way a really great military-style Mohawk should look.....mowed down flat on top (not pointy), not too wide, not too short, not too tall, but leaving enough hair to give it plenty of heft,..... enough hair to make it stand out proudly....and totally shaved on the sides.  Conservative for a Mohawk, as the military-type image should be.....but thoroughly gutsy.

Anyone wishing to see what a really great military-style Mohawk should look like should. click on your business Website you list on your profile....and then click on "gallery" to see some even better shots of your military-style Mohawk.  You should post all of your training photos on this Website too.  They're too great not to share.

I like the Mohawk where you are wearing camos much better than I like the one in the other photos, because the one in camos looks narrower, flatter, and more spartan-like. But, on balance, great job!!!!  Hang onto it.  You've got a real classic..
