Would anyone cut off their hawk for a girl or a guy? (Everyone's input would be appreciated)

Just wondering what you would do because earlier, me and my so called "best friend" were in a bar helping a few friends with a show(i filled in on guitar for them and he tagged along)and he started telling me all this shit about how i need to cut off my hawk and grow my hair shaggy like that little bitch zac efron. I got pissed!! Im like,"Why the fuck should I?? Look like every other abercrombie clone that walks around with their head up there ass??" He starts listing all like things wrong with… Continue

I work overnights at Target, which is pretty decent when we aren't under staffed. I'm not a fan of Oklahoma or the people for the most part. But those here in Tulsa are more open minded than the state as a whole it seems. I miss the ocean a lot.

I'll probably always run back to the coasts. ahah

Hey, I'm doing pretty well now that I've gotten some sleep! I've basically worked 50 hours since Friday. I thought my batteries were all run out.
I've been a silent observer when I'm on, more or less. I don't have a lot of time to be on the computer, especially in the past year! My phone loads the site well, but used kind of laggy and stuff for posting.
Thank you! We were going to have it in March, but are going to wait a little bit longer. I am totally gunning for a fall wedding, haha. Halloween would be awesome! Zombie themed. =D

It's so strange to come across old comments! They seem so out of context haha. (I was just reading some of the ones I ended up leaving you...holy shit!)

bleaching does do ALOT of damage to your hair. the amount of damage depends on your hair, the bleach, the developer, how long you leave it on, etc. i have extrememly strong hair that can take a hell of a beating, i have friends that have tried the bleach i use and their hair litterally broke off in handfulls.. if you have fragile hair and you are worried about alot of damage i just recommend getting a box of bleach from a store like walmart then making your own like i do. follow the instructions in the box and all will be well. ill add some hair care tips to the bottom of this comment, follow those and it will also help take care of the damage from the bleach.

the dye will stain your skin but there are some pretty easy ways to take it off incase you slip and get some on you. the best way is to keep a wet washcloth next to you while your applying the dye (apply with a dye brush and youll make less mess) if you get a little on your skin just wipe it away before it has a chance to stain. if you finish the job and do end up with some stained spots just wet a wash cloth with some rubbing alcohol and it will come right off your skin. i also reccommend getting some clorox bleach spray to clean your shower with after you rince the dye out, that stuff works wonders!

i bleach/dye whenever i feel the need to, its entirely a personal preference. i usually let it fade alot and then when i cant stand it and i crave bright color ill go back and re-color it. if i bleach it its either because i want to use different colors or i have alot of my natural color growing in, i try not to bleach as much as i can because of the damage. and i wash my hair whenever i can be damned to take a shower haha. but if you do shower everyday then only wash your hair every other day for hair health reasons, more on that will be in the healthy hair tips below :]

tips:
deep condition once a week, you can do this by either buying a pre-made deep conditioner/hair mask or you can mix your own at home. to mix your own mix a bit of mayo and avocado with a very small amount of olive oil or melted butter (i recommend olive oil..or even both if you feel like it). theres also tons of recipes out there, search the internet if you want a specific one. work it into your hair and leave it on for a half hour then wash it out really well.

use a hot oil treatment once a month, you can get them very cheap at your local beauty supply store.

do not shampoo your hair every day, every other day is plenty.. and when you wash be sure to massage your scalp for at least a minute. it stimulates blood flow through to the scalp which promotes growth. the faster your hair grows, the faster you get healthy hair coming in.

brush your hair well everyday with a brush that doesnt yank your hair out so that your hair can be well coated in its natural oils (they protect your hair)

trims are very important to keep your hair healthy, get your hair trimmed at least once a month. as a plus, not only does it keep your locks healthy it also helps it grow.

for sure, ill try to answer anything you can throw at me.
i use powder bleach, can never remember the brand, and i usually use 30 volume developer with it, just depends on how much torture i want to put my hair through. i leave it on for as long as it takes to get the lightness i want. my hair is really dark but since yours is only dirty blonde you shouldnt have to leave it on very long, just keep and eye on it and when it gets the shade you want wash it out.

how long the color lasts depends on both the dye and how often you wash your hair. i usually use punky colors (for my greens, blues, and some purple/red colors) it lasts longer then any other semi perm hair color ive used, it smells AMAZING, and it leaves your hair feeling super great. i highly recommend the brand. just watch out for their purple/reds, they do stain like crazy!

feel free to ask me any questions, any time. have fun!

Ooooh! there is an easy fix. I don't follow the directions, but mix it until it's thick. if it's really runny, cover it and leave it in the fridge over night. Warm it up the next time you use it to the point where it isn't a completely solid mass, but still very thick. Should work.

But it will drip, for sure. Thats why I used it sparingly after my hair was already up - easier to dry and control. Just to keep the rain out, haha

I agree! I cut mine down now and again to keep it healthy and every time I mourn it. They just cannot be discarded like yesterdays socks!!!
