get rid of shit that reminds you of him...make some new friends or hang out with some good friends and do something fun to take your mind off it... get out and do shit/ meet people....do not stay in your house and feel sorry for yourself for weeks on end...it will only make you depressed and possibly fat. quit thinking about him constantly...try and compensate for your loss in other ways and try to raise your self esteem by maybe honing your talents or doing things you love. Heck, just do anything it takes to get your mind off of it, and most importantly do not stalk him in any way shape or form.
*edit* Allow yourself some space from him...if you want to get over him, that will make it easier than running and calling him at the drop of a hat or texting him every time you're bored. It will also give you time to chill out if you need it, so you don't burn bridges unnecessarily. You guys could still be great friends! (and maybe pick up a copy of Cosmo <3)

Okay for the main event:
Make overs!!! (especially silly ones or something that is just out of the norm for you)
and going out with your best friends for ice cream or something (like a traditions that only you and they have...if you don't have one, start one!) Let me tell you, it works wonders. haha. And allow yourself to be happy. Laugh, joke, smile.
And hey, if you get a cute boy serving you or helping you, get his number, haha. Even if you don't think you'll call him.

You are loved!
And worse case, you can just shave your head or something, assume a new identity and create a killer life story!
AND keep coming back to our site! We're fun on here.

And if you want to see an ironic and funny movie, go check out mall cop!
make overs at times like this are the best! whether it be something as silly as having a friend come over and do your hair and make up, or you get a new tat or piercing, or dye your hair. or even make a life change like try to look at the world in a new light.

anything to get you out of the house and put a smile on your face, takes your mind off of it. like khaos said, even just going for ice cream with friends will work wonders.

keep smiling and looking up! ^.^
Thnx friends for giving me advice maybe I will do just that. Have allot of fun with just gurls and NO guys what so ever lol
exactly! girls night out
I'm having a similar situation. Some of the things I've been doing to distract myself are decorating a new jacket, making pants, dying my hair, and just stuff like that. I'm also spending more time on forums and listening to music, especially live music if possible. I'm doing more stuff with my GLBTQ youth group and hopefully I'll find a guy there who I like, who likes me back.
Kill him.

an hero?
I'm sorry to put a damper on things but truthfully if you trully loved him then you will never fully get over him , but what you will do is find your own way of dealing with it and putting it behind you , it will of course have some impact on future relationships as it is now your yardstick by which you will judge all your future relationships , fuck I sound like a horoscope lol
Yeah!!

Just keep moving forward, basically.
