What pets own you?

Because all of us with pets know that they own us, not the other way around.

I have a very spoiled:

5ft long redtailed-Columbian boa named Cinderella
Tortoishell cat named Reeses(I did not name her, she named herself!)
Longtailed lizard named Igor(someone broke his spine so I'm rehabilitating him)

And just today I got my Chinchilla I have fondly named Cheza. Pronounced Cheh-Zuh. She's the coolest fucking pet I've ever had.

hehe He owns my soul, even when he's being a little shithead. I need more animals!!!!! But my husband and I only live in a small apartment. :( OH WAIT.... we do have fish! I can't remember all the kinds, but I do know we have 3 Night Gobys. We are expecting them to die soon though because our a/c is broken and they don't make it very long in the heat. We already had one fish die on us last night. And my best friend's hamster died last night because their a/c is broken too. :( But she's getting a kitten tomorrow...

a corgi mix named forest (he has a gimpy leg and can run like hell! :P)

4 kittens, spotty feet, broke leg, spootimus prime, and bitchtron
a rat, snot
3 goldfish, fishy, splashy, and cookie
a chicken and 3 baby chicks
a ball python named buddy
a rott named tank
a chihuahua named peanut
and a lab mix named lola

gave away a kitten, down to three

my rat had to be put down and the same day my mom brought home a bunny who needed a home.. weve got our hands full.

Just as side note, I must mention how much I love my fosters!

Right now I'm fostering a bearded dragon(Igor has found a good home with a very entusiastic engineer who wants to see if he can build him a lizard wheel chair that works on cage carpet 0.o). Not quite sure what to name him(the beardy) but he's quite ill and has to be hand-fed. Not an easy task if you've ever met a bearded dragon. They can get 2 feet in length but generally are not agressive or biters-unless you provoke them in some way...say forcing their mouth open?

Also, I am considering fostering a blue and gold macaw named Thayet. =) A pretty bird, she is.

Sometimes they are pets that need a new home and sometimes they are very ill or something is wrong with them(broken back, missing eye, etc.), but I do love having animals in and out and watching them find good homes and recover.

I think I would be at a loss if I didn't have someone to take care of! XD

thats wonderful that you foster ^.^ i used to volunteer for an animal rescue but i couldnt foster because aside from having a ton of animals i have a problem with getting attached.. i would constantly be an emotional wreck despite how rewarding it would be.. i spent my weekends getting animals adopted instead..even that broke my heart! seeing the same animals every week and how hard it is for some to find homes.. theres still one little chihuahua and a pitbull mix i will never forget..those little angels stole my heart!
