WHAT!! You guys don't read enough Superman. Sure Superman may not have too many physical weaknesses, but he's the most "human" super hero. Ok think about this, sure he can't be taken down so easily but he has the weight of everyone one around him can die. So he feels he has to protect everyone.
As to not being unrelatable, think about all those times you got dirty looks or treated differently even though you are a good person and do good things. Superman has to deal with that everyday. No one really trusts him because he has all that power. I mean he helps the US all the time but they still make strike teams who are trained to specifically take out Superman. Oh and plenty has happened to him. He's died, he's been used as a puppet and almost killed both Wonder Woman and Batman. He's lost so many family members.

that's what makes me hate him. nothing happens to the guy. it's too easy for him. the rest of the heros are putting their lives at stake to protect others but it's like a walk in the park for him. it's just not fun.

Oh hell yeah man, Killing Joke is just fucking brilliant, I'm more of a Marvel guy, but when it comes to D.C. you can't beat Batman in my book, Superman can suck it.

80-90's Captain America is WAY cooler than I woulda thought. Same with Silver Surfer. Venom is always awesome. I found a Batman graphic novel "Killing Joke" I used to have when I was 5. Totally kickass!

Some good mainstream stuff Superman: Red Son is pretty neat, Its what if Superman was raised with soviet russia ideals. Kingdom Come, questions the ideals of superheroes. Frank Miller's stuff is pretty keen as well.

Oh, and the black and white ones are called the 'Remastered' version, so stay away from that. Also, there is a movie, but its shit, so make sure you read some Tank Girl before viewing it! Good Luck!
